$250 Million Minnesota Fraudster Finally Nabbed — in Mogadishu

Fraud, fraud, fraud.

That’s been the buzzword since Donald Trump retook the Oval Office and appointed top law enforcement officials who actually want to do something about it. The staggering amount of grift uncovered in Gov. Tim Walz’s Minnesota and Gov. Gavin Newsom’s California — among others — has been revealed to have been conducted on an almost incomprehensible, industrial scale.

But more and more fraudsters are paying the price as the administration cracks down, and now one of the leaders of the Feeding Our Future scam, where hundreds of millions of dollars were ripped off from federal child‑nutrition programs, has been apprehended.

Not surprisingly, he was nabbed in Somalia:

CASE UPDATE from @FBIMinneapolis: Man Taken into Custody in Somalia for Role in Feeding Our Future Fraud Scheme

Abdikerm Abdelahi Eidleh, of Burnsville, Minnesota—one of the orchestrators of the Feeding Our Future fraud scheme—was apprehended on June 25, 2026, in Mogadishu, Somalia. Eidleh was among the defendants originally charged by indictment in the Feeding Our Future scheme on September 13, 2022. The indictment alleges 31 counts of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, conspiracy to commit federal programs bribery, federal programs bribery, conspiracy to commit money laundering, and money laundering.

The Feeding Our Future plot garnered scammers massive piles of cash as Walz, Gopher State Attorney General Keith Ellison, and Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN-05) claim, to paraphrase a classic movie line, that “they were shocked — shocked! — to find what is going on in here!”

Authorities this week arrested in Somalia one of the “orchestrators” in a $250 million Minnesota welfare fraud scheme, ending the fugitive’s four year run from federal law enforcement, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Friday.

Abdikerm Eidleh, 42, was one of the original suspects charged in 2022 for his role in the now notorious Feeding Our Future scam, which federal prosecutors say stole Covid pandemic relief funds from the Federal Child Nutrition Program meant to feed hungry children.

It’s unclear how Eidleh was finally tracked down, but it looks like Somali intelligence helped. That’s not something you hear every day:

Neither US nor Somali officials have disclosed how Eidleh was located. However, the Department of Justice said his arrest was the result of cooperation between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency.

Prosecutors describe Eidleh as the alleged second-in-command to Aimee Bock, the convicted mastermind of a scheme built around Feeding Our Future, a Minnesota nonprofit that channelled federal money meant to feed needy children during the COVID-19 pandemic.

FBI Director Kash Patel warned people who have or are currently trying to rip off the United States: you can run, but you can’t hide.

Abdikerm Eidleh was an alleged ringleader of one of the largest fraud scandals in the history of the country - orchestrating a massive $250 million scheme to steal critical food resources from vulnerable Americans who needed it and spent the money on luxury cars and mansions, as shameless as it gets.

But thanks to a brilliant op from this FBI and our great partners - we got him in Somalia, and he will now face justice.

To date the FBI has systematically dismantled the ‘Feeding our Future’ web of corruption and arrested over 70 members in the case - we will continue working every single day to wipe out fraud across the country.

And another one gone, and another one gone, another one bites the dust.
