DHS Asks a Simple Question: 'Why Is California's Governor Siding With Foreign Criminals?'

As riots continue to rage in Los Angeles, the press continues to minimize the violence, Gov. Gavin Newsom tries and fails at playing the tough guy, and LA Mayor Karen Bass continues to fail miserably at her job of keeping Angelenos safe, the Department of Homeland Security weighed in Monday morning to ask an obvious question: whose side are you folks on?

The answer is pretty clear, if you look at what went on over the weekend (and which is showing no signs of abating):

Why indeed? The answer is because this is what they want: chaos and division. After all, they’ve been openly calling for it.

Homeland Security followed that post up by smacking down the ever-shrinking Karen Bass’ attempts to gaslight the public and claim that everything is under control:

"Calm," Mayor Bass? I think not:

This is blatantly FALSE. As rioters have escalated their assaults on our DHS law enforcement and activists’ behavior on the streets becomes increasingly dangerous, the federal government is calling in the California National Guard for additional support to ensure the safety of all citizens, law enforcement and public property.

It’s a different DHS under President Trump and Secretary Kristi Noem—they didn’t come to play games. California politicians can whine and preen for the cameras all they want, but this is what the American electorate voted for, and the administration is simply fulfilling their very clear promises.

Gavin Newsom has been at the center of this latest epic Golden State failure, and he’s tried to claim that Trump caused the violence, that somehow Jan. 6 is relevant, and that California authorities have everything under control—despite the fact that television footage clearly shows that is not the case.

DHS is right to ask which side he’s on, but it’s a rhetorical question because he’s given us his answer repeatedly with his actions. Hint: it's not on the side of Californians.

Editor's Note: President Trump isn't going to allow lawlessness to reign in America. We will not have a repeat of 2020's "Summer of Love."
