Although the media is now acting surprised about all the revelations of Biden’s (lack of) mental acuity during his presidency, everyone with a brain knew it and could see it daily on their television sets. We wrote about it extensively here at RedState even as the mainstream media and the Democrats went to extreme lengths to cover it up.
It will go down as one of the most shameful moments in the history of the press in this country.
And the drip drip drip of damning information keeps coming out. Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz revealed on his podcast “The Verdict” Friday that the administration basically hid Biden and he wasn’t capable of meeting with Republican leaders—for his entire term.
During one of the latest podcast episodes from "Verdict with Ted Cruz," the Texas senator explained that throughout Biden's time as president, he did not speak to Cruz "a single time," and that he did not talk to many other Republican senators during the time.
“So look, in four years of the Biden presidency, I’m in the Senate the whole time. How many times do you think I spoke with Joe Biden while he was president? Zero … not a single time, and that is bizarre," Cruz told his cohost. Ben Ferguson.
The senator said that it is unusual for the president to avoid interacting with the opposing party's senators, and that it is common for the president to work with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle on legislation.
It wasn’t just the Texas senator that Biden was kept away from, Cruz continued:
“And by the way, when I say I didn’t speak with [Biden] for four years, that was true of virtually every Republican senator,” Cruz added. “The Democrats talked to him a little more, so they talked to him a little more. When the Senate’s in session, the Republicans have lunch together every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and so we talk at lunch. It’s a working lunch and it’s very productive. We would sit at lunch and talk about how weird it was that none of us had spoken to Biden, had been to the White House to see him. And they all knew him, they were clearly hiding him.”
In one of the richest moments to come out of this scandal, CNN’s Jake Tapper wrote a book detailing the cover-up—even though he was a huge part of the corrupt media complex’s efforts to downplay Biden's struggles:
Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy Calls on Schumer, Jeffries to Resign for Their Roles in Biden Cover-Up
Louisiana GOP Sen. John Kennedy, he of the seemingly endless supply of terrific one-liners, had this to say about Ole Joe:
Senator John Kennedy (R-LA), who did get to speak to Biden at the White House, said to Cruz that the president began telling Kennedy stories that happened years ago. When staff tried to intervene, Biden did not listen and told stories to Kennedy for 30 minutes.
RedState knew all along that Biden was compromised, and we reported it relentlessly. Even so, the deluge of information now coming out now that Biden has left the Oval Office are still jaw-dropping. The dishonesty and depravity of those involved—including the stunning hypocrisy of Jake Tapper—will reverberate for decades.
Editor's Note: The mainstream media continues to deflect, gaslight, spin, and lie.
