Former UK Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary David Cameron is the latest world leader to comment on Israel in the wake of the Islamic Republic's drone and missile attacks over the weekend. Cameron made a visit to the Jewish state this week, it appears, like the Biden administration, in hopes of dissuading Israel to respond to Iran's attacks.

Sec. Cameron met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog during the visit, ostensibly to both reiterate that his nation stands with Israel in its war against Hamas, and urge caution in the country's next move against Iran.

United Kingdom Foreign Secretary David Cameron said Wednesday that Israel has decided to respond to the attacks Iran launched against Israel over the weekend.

Cameron’s remarks come as the foreign secretary traveled to Israel on Wednesday, just days after Iran launched a missile and drone attack on the U.S. ally.

The UK's Foreign Ministry office shared Cameron's comments:

The situation is very concerning. It’s right to show solidarity with Israel. It’s right to have made our views clear about what should happen next.

But it’s clear the Israelis are making a decision to act. We hope they do so in a way that does as little to escalate this as possible.
