High School Blocks Pro-Life Club As Too Controversial, but Allows Other Clubs

Parkland High School in Allentown, Pennsylvania has banned a pro-life club for being too controversial and political, but allows other clubs that could be seen as such, such as an LGBT club. Parkland senior Liz Castro appeared on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show Friday to discuss the club.

“They told me that we couldn’t have our club because it was too controversial and too political at the time,” Liz Castro explained.

“So just anything that other people disagree with is not allowed, do you think you were singled out for that?” Carlson asked.

“I think they were definitely discriminated against us because we were pro-life,” Castro said.

The Thomas More Society is working with the students to protect their right to this club, and Castro said that friends who are not graduating will be fighting for the club next year.
