Public School District Offers Free 'Antiracist Therapy' for White Teachers

Given our current state of chaos, it may seem dubious whether we’ll ever return to normal things. But America is still here, and we will — because we must — find our way back to national function.

And part of those gears moving well is youngsters being schooled.

For its part in helping us hit the heights, an area in California’s reportedly trying to school the schoolers — with social justice training.

As I covered last month, City Journal reporter Christoper Rufo posted to social media screenshots allegedly from racial awareness training for teachers in the San Diego School District.

The instruction included an acknowledgement that the academics sit on land “stolen” from “indigenous peoples” and that — as directed at teachers — “You Are Racist. … What would you want to say to someone who tells you this?”

The training begins with a “land acknowledgement,” in which the teachers are asked to accept that they are colonizers living on stolen Native American land. After watching clips of Robin DiAngelo and Ibram Kendi, the trainers tell the teachers: “you are racist,” “you are upholding racist ideas, structures, and policies,” and that they must commit to becoming “antiracist” in the classroom. A San Diego public school district reportedly held a training that told teachers that “whiteness” caused failing schools and that white teachers must undergo “antiracist therapy” to remedy their ignorance…

The training reportedly took place within the San Diego Unified School Districts (SDUSD) in California, which includes more than 100 schools. Education scholar Bettina Love leads the virtual training, titled “Abolitionist Teaching, Co-Conspirators & Educational Justice.” An introductory slide informs viewers that no recording is permitted during the Sept. 29 event which aims to “create anti-racist and restorative communities” throughout the district.

Per Christoper, San Diego USD is informing Caucasian teachers they’re guilty of “spirit murder.”

But there’s help — in the form of “antiracist therapy for White educators”:

According to screenshots, school structure is rife with “oppressive practices”:

Furthermore — as relayed by Christopher’s whistleblower — the district is telling staff that only America’s “dark” people can see the country clearly:

[One] slide says that “Reform will not work,” and then promotes [Bettina’s] book on “abolitionist teaching” which purports to be a form of pedagogy that seeks to “eliminate what is oppressive, not reform it, no reimagine it, but remove oppression from its roots.”

To develop abolitionist educators, Love says teachers should demand that white educators receive “free, antiracist therapy” and that more funding should go toward deepening these teachings.
