Given the media’s comprehensive coverage of D.C. marches, you’ve surely heard about Saturday’s #WalkAway event.
But if not: On October 3rd, crowds gathered to oppose the Democratic Party’s modern migration.
Speaking to The Daily Caller, WalkAway founder Brandon Straka explained the point of the anti-woke weekend #walk:
“The purpose of this event is to get the silent majority to show we are not going to be silent anymore, we are going to stand up, we are going to fight for our country, we are going to fight against the radical Left, because freedom in America is worth fighting for.”
At the #WalkAway Unsilent Majority March on Washington there are about 8,000 registered attendees for the main rally. They have ex-military including #NavySEALs and Army Rangers in plain clothes doing recon to prevent any disruptions by counter-protests. pic.twitter.com/S6RqROaylN

They’re walking away, of course, because the (extreme) Left has walked away — from virtues liberals have famously embraced.
Not so long ago, the far-siders of politics were a bunch of anti-violent, live-and-let-live hippies:

But that flower power’s wilted, and it’s been replaced by thunderous thorns (Language Warning for all videos):

Tonight in Portland BLM terrorists and Antifa murdered a Trump supporter in cold blood.

And the sector responsible for the Free Speech movement? They’ve moved on:
In Washington, Brandon continued:
“Many of us have walked away from the radical Left, we’ve walked away from the lies, the division, the hate, the violence, the vandalism, and we just want a more beautiful, more loving, more unified America.”
A black woman named Alexis told the Caller she wanted to “show that there are black conservatives that do support Trump.”
Not that it’s all about race:
“We are all Americans, but people still see color, and I just feel like it’s important to have people of color on the front lines walking with the rest of the patriots.”
Of course, black voters leaving the Left has its own initiative — Blexit.
In January of last year, Candace Owens championed an exit from the yarn of victimhood:
“[We’re exiting] from the victim narrative. It’s time for us to come together and realize that we are a part of the American picture. … We’ve been abused, we’ve been used. We were constantly force-fed this fearful narrative. It’s time for us to take authority over our lives and to say, ‘We want to be victors of our experiences. We want a piece of this, too.’ … I think leaving the Democrat Party is almost embracing your future and the potential of your future at this point.”
Back to the march, a Trump supporter from Florida — Nico — noted it’s “time to stop being quiet.”
“We should not be ashamed of supporting our own president,” he said.
The rally had a list of distinguished guests: Rep. Vernon Jones and Rep. Dan Crenshaw.
Amid COVID-19 concern, Vernon gave props to the Prez:
“Donald J. Trump cares about this country and he puts this country first which hasn’t happened in 50 years. I stopped by Walter Reed this morning to let the president know that I’m with him, that the American people are with him.”
As you might have guessed, not everything went smoothly Saturday:

To be clear, I don’t consider those “BLM.” I figure them interested agents of anarchy, embracing the mantra of the moment. That being said, the turmoil above just might be the violence D.C.’s former Dems have elected to leave.
Indeed, where chaos is concerned, we all need to #WalkAway.
