Bryan Adams has a beef with some greedy b-st-rds.
To be clear, if being a fan of the “Heaven” hitmaker is wrong, I don’t wanna be right. For my money, Bryan put out some of the greatest FM fare of the 80’s (if you’re unfamiliar, check out his seminal effort Waking Up the Neighbors). Hits such as “Run to You” and “Summer of 69” are enough to make a skinny-jeaned millennial wanna throw on some stonewashed Levi’s and start snapping their fingers.
And on Monday, Bryan was snapping himself — but not in a Kevin Bacon kind of way.
Adams put it to those behind the coronavirus pandemic, who are — in his view — “bat-eating, wet market animal-selling, virus-making greedy bastards.”
Those no-good knuckleheads, he asserted, shut down the world.
Therefore, he had to cancel a string of gigs at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
In an Instagram video posted Monday, here’s what the singer had to say:
“Tonight was supposed to be the beginning of a tenancy of gigs at the [Royal Albert Hall], but thanks to some f—–g bat eating, wet market animal-selling, virus-making, greedy bastards, the whole world is now on hold, not to mention the thousands that have suffered or died from this virus. My message to them other than ‘Thanks a f—–g lot’ is ‘Go vegan.’”
And:
“To all the people missing out on our shows, I wish I could be there more than you know,” he said. “It’s been great hanging out in isolation with my children and family, but I miss my other family, my band, my crew and my fans. Take care of yourselves and hope we can get the show on the road again soon. I’ll be performing a snippet from each album we were supposed to perform for the next few days.”
As for his batty remark, Adams took me back to Lindsey Graham’s comments in early April:
“This is where ebola came from, this is where the SARS came from, and this lab may be 300 yards away from the wet market in China, where they test bats for coronavirus infection. But people literally eating bats 300 yards down the road. And for this to continue is an outrage, and Dr. Fauci said the world should ostracize every country that allows exotic animals like monkeys and bats to be intermingled with the food supply and near humans. … This’ll be the third pandemic to come out of these wet markets in China. … How many times are we going to go through this routine? … [C]rack down on bringing exotic and wild animals into these wet markets where they contaminate the food supply in human beings. Bats carry this stuff. And they literally eat bats. Stop eating bats.”
Of course, theories abound regarding the origin of COVID-19.
As for Bryan — and as noted by The Daily Wire — his China-aimed finger riled people’s middle one. ‘Roused writers reamed him for racism.
One tweet contained a letter of condolence:
“Dear @bryanadams , you might have just lost 99% of the ppl who would have bought tickets for your shows, but fear not, you’ll still have your racist friends sticking by you and calling you a legend…like Katie Hopkins… All is not lost..except your reputation, and career…”
And there was this:
Guess I'll never listen to another Bryan Adams song again. Racist P.O.S.

Another user opined, “[Bryan] just burnt his entire legacy to the ground with one post. I grew up listening to the guy, my mother and aunts were obsessed. Shame. A real damn shame.”
Someone else hated on hate:
So disappointing. There is no excuse for this kind of racist hate. Vile. https://t.co/4CZdj0qZCm

One of this present era’s headscratchers for me has been a staggering confusion between the definitions of race, nationality, and geography.
But so goes it online.
And make no mistake — Bryan’s got a left-wing lean. As reported by RedState’s Brandon Morse in 2016, the “Everything I Do (I Do It for You)” crooner refused to play North Carolina because they wouldn’t allow biological males in the Women’s restroom.
But no one is safe these days. The outrage mob…whoo boy, it “Cuts Like a Knife.”
