Let's Go: Georgia Congressman-Elect Clay Fuller on His Win and Embracing the Trump Agenda

As RedState reported, on Tuesday, Judicial Circuit DA Clay Fuller (R) handily won a special election runoff to fill the congressional seat vacated by former Trump ally (now critic) Marjorie Taylor Greene.

At the time Decision Desk HQ called the race, Fuller had a comfortable 10-point lead, which was expected to settle to around eight points. Instead, Fuller almost doubled that number with a 14-point win. Or as Fuller said in the Thursday video interview below: "two touchdowns."

On Thursday, Fuller appeared on Fox News' Faulkner Focus and mocked the Democrats who, even though they lost, were still taking a victory lap over how much they spent and their increased turnout numbers.

Fuller said,

The Democrats spent about 6.5 million in this race and they're trying to claim some kind of moral victory. But only Democrats could essentially light 6.5 million dollars on fire and then, lose an election by nearly two touchdowns and try to claim the victory. We're very confident in our performance on April 7th.

Obviously, one thing that people aren't talking about is that this was a special election, and turnout was different in a special election than our normal primary. So, we're looking forward to continuing to win this thing and dominate this race heading into November.

Breaking: Trump-Endorsed Clay Fuller Advances to Runoff Against Dem in GA Special Election

This race is reminiscent of the 2024 general election, when former Democrat Vice President and presidential candidate Kamala Harris spent $1.5 billion in 107 days, then went on to lose all seven battleground states AND the popular vote to Donald Trump. Yet, Democrats and others still claim that Trump did not win with a resounding mandate.

A similar problem with reality exists among certain Republican "experts," pollsters, and pundits who are clutching their pearls over this runoff election as if it portends further bad news for Republicans. These people claim that because Fuller won by less than what the then-incumbent Marjorie Taylor Greene won her re-election, and less than the 37 percentage points by which Trump won this district in 2024, it signals a serious problem for Republicans in the midterms. Republicans may well have problems in the midterms, but this GA-14 race will not be one of them.

Fuller not only set the record straight, but all but encouraged fellow and future candidates to embrace President Trump and the Trump agenda if they want to win.

He's undefeated. And my recommendation to any candidate that's running out there across the nation in the Republican Party, is to embrace President Trump, because his policies and supporting him leads to victory. You see that in Georgia 14. And he was the key factor, he was the "Trump Card." And no matter how much money the Democrats will continue to pour in to try to defeat President Trump, they just can't beat him.

WATCH:

President Trump endorsed Fuller ahead of the April 7 runoff election. After Fuller's victory, he gave an even more full-throated endorsement on Truth Social, while referring to Fuller's predecessor as leaving a "stench."

As for Marjorie Taylor Greene? She did not comment directly on the race; she simply joined the Nattering Nabobs of Negativism by reposting one of the pearl-clutching pollsters, claiming, "[...] but the results speak for themselves. Trump flipping MAGA from America First to America Last, covering up for the Epstein files, and betraying key campaign promises of no more foreign wars has been the best help for the Democrats. Sad!"

The results do speak for themselves: Georgia 14 is on board with the Trump agenda and embraced the Trump-endorsed candidate. Fuller is clear on his job: turn out the voters and win the November midterm with even greater numbers. He seems to be up to that challenge.

Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.
