Salman Rashid is in big trouble.

As noted by The Washington Post, the Florida man was mad at Miami Dade College and Broward College — he’d been suspended from the former and expelled from the other.

So the 23-year-old allegedly met with ISIS members to plan attacks on the schools.

Sounds like a super sound terroristic tactic.

But he hit a snag: The ISIS guys were, in fact, undercover agents for the FBI.

šŸ™

Therefore, he’s been charged with soliciting another person to commit a crime of violence.

Salman may not be the brightest guy in the cave. The FBI — as ISIS — just contacted him via Facebook.

As perĀ filed documents, he was given the boot from Miami Dade after stalking and sending threatening texts a female student.

Among his messages were these:

“The creator [has] decided our destiny and chosen separate paths for us.ā€

“[In the] hereafter, [we’ll] meet once again. But things will be a little different :). You will not have excuses, will not be given a choice and will have to come closer to me.ā€

Reportedly, he was expelled from Broward for not telling them about what happened at Miami Dade.

What’s that song? Oh, yeah:

As for attracting the feds, NBC News reports it was a pretty straight forward affair:

The Federal Bureau of Investigation began monitoring Rashid’s Facebook posts in April 2018, after he displayed a ā€œgrowing hatred for America, non-Muslimsā€ and others, and professed a belief in the ā€œviolent overthrowā€ of the ā€œdemocratic system,ā€ the documents say.

The FBI say he told them he “wanted to leave this world because there is nothing for him.ā€

But I guess he decided to stay and screw stuff up:

In May, a couple of weeks after the source encouraged him to attend counseling that was required by Miami Dade, he asked the source to help recruit ISIS ā€œbrothersā€ to ā€œavenge perceived attacks on Muslims,ā€ the documents say.

After a supposedly successful recruitment effort, the source and Rashid later agreed on the method of attack — a bombing — and the targets: the deans of Miami Dade and Broward, the documents say.

ā€œThese two people, they need to die,ā€ Rashid told the source in a recorded conversation, the documents say.

Though perhaps rushed previously, time is now on Salman’s side: He’s primed for a brainstorming session under the roof of a federal prison, during which he’ll have a maximum of 20 years to come up with a more sophisticated plan.

Maybe the girl from college will visit him.

Well, maybe not–
