If you haven’t heard, a video meme created from the movie Kingsman: The Secret Service is all the rage at the moment.
“Rage,” in terms of both its meanings.
The 20th Century Fox film features an absolute firearm-fueled slaughter inside a small church, in which meme-maker Carpe Donktum has embellished the movie’s protagonist shooter with Donald Trump’s head.
His victims are edited to represent various media outlets, a few members of Hollywood (Peter Fonda, Rosie O’Donnell, and Harvey Weinstein), a handful of well-known Democrats, and even a couple Republicans.
Half of that GOP pair is the late Sen. John McCain, and his family is publicly condemning the video.
The meme was created last year and has no relationship to the White House, yet some appear to be blasting it as if the President had it commissioned.
As for John’s wife, she made clear her stance in a tweet:
“I stand with the [White House Correspondents Association] in registering my outrage.”
Reports describing a violent video played at a Trump Campaign event in which images of reporters & @JohnMcCain are being slain by Pres Trump violate every norm our society expects from its leaders& the institutions that bare their names. I stand w/ @whca in registering my outrage

Daughter Meghan — co-host of ABC’s The View — also issued a denouncement:
“One of the people in this video is my Dad, sitting senators and congresspeople. Please don’t insult me or them by insinuating this is anything like heavy metal. This could inspire violence towards REAL people.”
No it isn’t – the joker is a fictional character from a comic book. One of the people in this video is my Dad, sitting senators and congresspeople. Please don’t insult me or them by insinuating this is anything like heavy metal. This could inspire violence towards REAL people. https://t.co/3jU14QUnDQ

Trump and Sen. McCain, of course, had a very strained relationship.
Seven months after John’s passing, the President said, “I was never a fan of John McCain, and I never will be.”
Meghan’s taken her turns as well, some on the air:
“He spends his weekend obsessing over wonderful, great men because he knows it, and I know it, and all of you know it: He will never be a great man.”
…
“My father was his kryptonite in life and his kryptonite in death.”
…
“And I just thought, ‘Your life is spent on weekends not with your family, not with your friends, but obsessing, obsessing, over great men you could never live up to.’ That tells you everything you needed to know about his pathetic life.”
So it was indeed (just proven in court papers) “last in his class” (Annapolis) John McCain that sent the Fake Dossier to the FBI and Media hoping to have it printed BEFORE the Election. He & the Dems, working together, failed (as usual). Even the Fake News refused this garbage!

No one will ever love you the way they loved my father…. I wish I had been given more Saturday’s with him. Maybe spend yours with your family instead of on twitter obsessing over mine? https://t.co/q7ezwmHiQ4

The bad blood has certainly been unpleasant to watch.
And speaking of watching, personally, I was surprised the violent scene as it appeared in the film didn’t spark outrage at the time of the movie’s release — it was a gruesome mass murder in a church, with the killers as heroes.
Putting aside heavy metal and memery, that sort of crime is something that has actually occurred in the real world, and more than once — consider Dylan Roof in Charleston or the Sutherland Springs slayings, as only two examples.
If you haven’t seen the video, I’m including it below. But I want to make sure you know: There is brutality portrayed; watch at your own risk.
