During a campaign speech in Iowa Thursday, Joe Biden managed to push this over his bottom teeth:
“Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.”
Let’s do that again:
“Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.”
Take your time…
What’s weirder, people started to clap.
Then he added:
“Wealthy kids, black kids, Asian kids. No, I really mean it. But think how we think about it.”
Huh?
Yet another entry added to the long list of Joe Biden's career of gaffes.

As for the first part, what would the media have made of such a comment by Donald Trump?
Brett Kavanaugh?
George Bush?
Voldemort?– I’m just assuming he’s supposed to be a Republican.
As the President left for a fundraiser Friday, he recounted to White House reporters his reaction to Biden’s goof:
“He made that comment, I said, ‘Whoa.'”
Furthermore:
“This is not somebody you can have as your president. But if he got the nomination, I’d be thrilled.”
Classic Trump.
But not as much as this:
“Joe is not playing with a full deck.”
At least one member of the media tried to run cover for the former VP.
As reported by the Washington Free Beacon, NBC’s Andrea Mitchell falsely charged the Trump campaign with cropping footage of Joe’s speech in order to unfairly give the appearance of a gooberish gaffe:
“Joe Biden, after a widely praised speech against the President 24 hours ago, is now facing a Trump campaign counter-attack, seizing on a few words on the campaign trail. The former vice president accusing the President of being a racist who emboldens white supremacists by aligning himself with their cause, but it’s Biden’s bungling of his own remarks that’s making headlines this morning.”
She then played Joe’s statement, in context:
“We should challenge these students. We should challenge students in these schools that have advanced placement programs in these schools. We have this notion that somehow if you’re poor, you cannot do it. Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids. Wealthy kids. Black kids. Asian kids.”
Uhhh…it didn’t get better.
Oh, and also: The initial Trump clip actually included the full context.
Trump’s Rapid Response Director, Andrew Clark, laid it out:
Our tweet of the video did, in fact, include Biden’s “immediate correction.” They can't even get their response right.
No amount of "immediate corrections" can change the fact that "slip ups" like this are part of a proven pattern for Joe Biden. https://t.co/eHyrOJ5HV5

Yep.
Joe seems poised for a whole lot more passes; I predicted as much. A Republican with his record might never had made it this far: After all, he’s already said he’ll “be damned” if he pays reparations. And he’s called gays “security risks.” Let Voldemort try that.
