The world of celebrity tweeting, in my opinion, doesn’t offer a lot in the way of wit and wisdom. For the most part, they’re singers and actors — not writers.
But one famous face consistently fires ’em off on social media, and that pithy pistolier is Pat Sajak.
On Friday, the Wheel of Fortune host reminded us that celebs know best. He also offered a bit of the hard knocks — we may have to use our own brains:
“As you probably know, we celebrities are uniquely qualified to tell you how to live and what to think, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m working hard, and I expect to have my list of rules available in a week or so. Meantime, just do your best on your own.”
Tough, but most likely good advice.
Pat dished similarly wry words of wisdom in the aftermath of 2017’s Las Vegas massacre, during which anti-gun rhetoric was shootin’ off Tinseltown like the bulleted battles constantly featured in their furiously-firing films:

Can you imagine a world where all the rich and famous had this kind of down-to-earth ability to laugh at themselves?
I can’t (see here), but it’s fun to pretend.
Pat reminds me of what a wise movie star once said about his own fame and fortune:
“I get the joke.”
