CLIMATE CHANGE WIENERS: In Order to Save the Planet, NYC Mayor Bill De Blasio Eyes Banning Hot Dogs

Oh boy.

The Left continues its climate change clamour.

In an effort to save the planet, New York City is considering outlawing its signature meat — the hot dog.

Yeah — that’ll save it.

As reported by KFI 640:

New York City is the first city in the United States to eliminate processed meats.

Mayor Bill de Blasio approved an ambitious $14 billion Green New Deal on Monday, April 22, to combat climate change. The plan will cut purchases of red meat by 50 percent in its city-controlled facilities such as hospitals, schools, and correctional facilities. The new commitment builds off of the Meatless Mondays campaign that was adopted by all NYC schools in 2017.

The mayor says it’s…wait for it…necessary:

“It is a difficult plan. It is a necessary plan…. Estimates that tell us that we have only 12 years to get it right. Let’s be clear, we have until 2030 to change things fundamentally, or our lives won’t be the same.”

Twelve years, people. Then the Earth is doomed.

Hey, wait — didn’t Al Gore already tell us that? Oh yeah — hasn’t Bill heard? The world ended three years ago.

Courtesy of Townhall:

Mr Gore told his supporters a decade ago that the world had until 27th January 2016 to end its addiction to fossil fuels or the it would come to an end. Gore did not specify what householders might expect to happen today, but he was clear that this would be the end.

So hey — why do anything now? If you wake up three hours late, just go to the beach. You’ve already missed work.

And while you’re there, have a hot dog.

But don’t let Bill hear about it; he’s on the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez plan, even though she’s Cow-Farting in the Face of Science.

As per by The Daily Wire:

Like the “national” Green New Deal, New York City’s version seeks to reduce the metropolis’ carbon emissions to “net zero” by 2050, and like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s plan, covers more than just the environment, but instead demands the nationalization of certain industies, including health care.

But there is this:

New Yorkers will be able to keep their precious hot dog street carts, and tourists will still be able to fill up on dirty water dogs in Times Square — at least for now.

More from KFI:

By 2030, New York City’s Green New Deal will reduce greenhouse emissions by 30% while also creating new jobs. Additionally, all buildings that are 25,000 square feet or more, of which there are 50,000 citywide, will be required to make efficiency upgrades that lower their energy usage and emissions or they will face steep penalties.

Bill says we’re doing it to save the planet.

The whole planet.

Dear Bill,

New York City can’t save the entire planet. If you’re right about the 12 years and the ominous threat imposed by Ball Park Franks, only the whole planet can save the whole planet.

-Alex Parker

Population of New York City: 8.5 million.

Population of the planet: 7.7 billion.

All of America: 328 million.

Think we can conquer the remaining 7,372,000,000 people by 2030? I thought colonialism was wrong?

Here’s a bit more perspective:

That’s the world.

Take that map and enlarge it by 2000% on a 17-inch screen. Then find a baby and clip one of his or her hairs. Then touch that hair to the screen, in the upper right corner of America.

That’s New York City.

Does it look like Big Apple footlongs are the pivot point for planetary survival?

TDW notes Bill’s broader plan includes an eradication of systemic oppression:

A copy of the GND executive summary lists among the program’s goals a universal health care plan for all New Yorkers, fair wages, affordable housing, modern infrastructure, public education improvements, and a “car-free” city by 2050. The plan includes not just food bans, but a first-in-the-nation “congestion charge” for vehicles traveling in and out of Manhattan, and programs designed to “address systematic oppression” within NYC’s boundaries.

And it all goes back to farts:

The theory behind banning hot dogs, though, is similar to the plan outlined in a national Green New Deal “FAQ” to completely eliminate livestock cultivation: that red meat has an extensive environmental footprint that encompasses everything from methane-producing cattle to the carbon emissions from your backyard grill. The process of raising, handling, packaging, and delivering red meat — and especially processed red meat — is considered by environmentalists as one of the cardinal sins of climate change.

But I’m thinking No.

The biggest reason not to stop scarfing down hot dogs? It flies in the face of poetry: You are what you eat; and Bill de Blasio is a weenie.
