Nancy Pelosi Deletes Her Jussie Smollet Tweet as the Left's Cheep Shots Fail to Fly

As I covered earlier, the Left went Amen Crazy in response to Empire actor Jussie Smollett’s claim of a January 29th anti-gay, anti-black megaMAGA assault (here).

Included in the number of hasty haters was none other than that great maven of American justice, Nancy “a wall (other than mine) is an immorality” Pelosi (here and here).

Nance posted the following:

“The racist, homophobic attack on [Smollett] is an affront to our humanity. No one should be attacked for who they are or whom they love.”

Pelosi’s response presumably could’ve been forgiven, had Jussie been female (though we’re increasingly being told there’s no such thing – here, here, and the video here), filed under #BelieveAllWomen (here). But what’s society coming to, if we have to also immediately believe those nasty critters, men? That would severely hinder the destruction of Brett Kavanaugh; say it ain’t so.

Jussie’s claims were substantial. But, to give you the King James Version, the story did stinketh.

And now, as reported by CNN:

Two law enforcement sources with knowledge of the investigation tell CNN that Chicago Police believe actor Jussie Smollett paid two men to orchestrate an assault on him that he reported late last month.

One of the [alleged attackers] has appeared on “Empire,” Guglielmi said. A police source also told CNN on Friday night that the men had a previous affiliation with Smollett, but did not provide additional details.

Nancy’s tweet has since been deleted. Will she come out and apologize robustly, saying it was dumb of her to rush to judgement? If so, could she go ahead and list all the other things that were dumb of her?

Not likely. CNN’s response to its own (see the video below) — as well as much else of the Left’s — failure to take a “wait and see” attitude toward the story was to BLAME TRUMP SUPPORTERS. What better illustration of bias could there be? The media castigated conservatives for an unverified story, and now they shame the group they excoriated:

She’s right — it is sad, no matter your politics.

One twitterer had it right:

And an irritated woman was on target:

Then there was this extremely good point:

Perhaps more unfortunate than Pelosi’s post — not to mention the lack of her impending commensurate repentance — is the fact that it was liked by over 100,000 and spread via some 20,000 retweets.

Despite modern times’ incredible access to information, we survive as political animals in a cage built by a famous phrase: “A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.” As of late, the media and the Left have switched to velcro.
