WATCH: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's Party Votes to Annihilate Israel

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez makes me uncomfortable: To write about her at all feels cruel. There’s no way to size up many of her statements without assigning them the size of a nitwit.

A wholly unaware nitwit, that is. Unlike, say, a Nancy or Hillary.

Nevertheless, this — I believe — is an important story.

On August 5th, 2017, the Democratic Socialists of America — of which AOC’s a member — assembled at the University of Illinois for its national convention.

And they voted…on a campaign calling for the elimination of Israel.

So reports The Daily Wire.

After the delegates’ decision, the group chanted “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”

That phrase about the river and sea is, you may recall, what got CNN commentator Mark Lamont Hill canned (here and here).

Sound impossible for the DSA? Check it out:

What effect might a similar attitude have on a young congresswoman? So far, not much — just see here and here.

As for Alexandria, she misfired on PBS’s Firing Line with Margaret Hoover last July.

Take it away, Daily Wire:

“I also think that what people are starting to see, at least, in the occupation of Palestine, is just an increasing crisis of humanitarian condition,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “And that, to me, is just where I tend to come from on this issue.”

Host Margaret Hoover immediately pressed Ocasio-Cortez, asking, “You use the term ‘the occupation of Palestine.’ What do you mean by that?”

“Um… I think what I meant is … like … the settlements that are increasing in some of these areas and places where Palestinians are experiencing difficulty in access to their housing and homes,” Ocasio-Cortez said as she struggled to answer.

“Do you think you can expand on that?” Hoover asked.

“Yeah… I mean, I think … I’d … also just— I am not the expert on geopolitics on this issue,” Ocasio-Cortez said as she dodged answering the question.

“I’m not the expert” — she’d be well-served by sticking to that as a stock answer to any given query.

Until that happens, we may expect to hear more anti-Israel expression from the chick with whom I share four important letters, as well as from others among the Washington Left. Indeed, the Democratic National Committee pulled support for the Women’s March amid allegations of anti-Semitism (here); but is a bolder-than-ever stance against the tiny, surrounded country where the DNC is headed? Alexandria’s being touted as a future leader of the party. If she truly is, then maybe — just maybe — “we’re marching to Zion, beautiful beautiful Zion. We’re marching upward to Zion, the beautiful city of [Allah].”
