BREAKING: Trump Just Said He Will Accept the Results of Election, *IF* ....

Speaking at an event in Ohio moments ago, Donald Trump addressed the question that has been the topic of the day, of the entire debate, since the second it ended last night. Namely, that he would not commit to respecting the results of the election.

“I want to make a major announcement today. I would like to promise and pledge to all of my voters and supporters and to all of the people of the United States that I will totally accept the results of this great and historic presidential election. If I win.”

He smiled like he was joking, but then he went on to say that we must fight for fairness, and cited Podesta emails about voter fraud. So, not so much joking at all.

This despite his surrogates being all over television claiming that of course he will respect the results of the election, not to mention many of his public supporters stating that the original statement was an obvious gaffe.

I do find it personally amusing that his supporters are utterly thrilled by all this talk after they’ve spent every waking moment since the end of the primary insisting that other republicans “respect the will of the people.”

UPDATE:

Looks like he eventually got back around to it after this article was posted.
