IJR reports that witnesses say they heard as many as 40 shots fired.
From the Denver Post:
Rose Medical Center in Denver is ordering its staff and patients to shelter in place on Friday afternoon following reports of an active shooter. Denver police said they are responding to a report of shots heard, but said there is no confirmation.
Police urged people to shelter in place while officers cleared the hospital. They said via Twitter that officers are looking for a white male in his mid 30s, weighing about 130 pounds and wearing a flannel shirt and a hat.
This is breaking news and we will update as new information becomes available.
