Debbie Wasserman Schultz is a disagreeable, shrill, abrasive person. But don’t take my word for it. Take the word of everyone in the entire world.
That’s rough. HeatStreet is right, of course, that “she tends to say outrageous things” and “rarely makes coherent points.” And it’s not just Republicans who don’t dig her. Democrats are worried that she’s “too toxic.”
Democratic senators are discussing whether Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz should be removed as the head of the party because she has become “too toxic” in the ongoing Democratic civil war.
“There is a lot of sentiment that replacing her would be a good idea. It is being discussed quietly among Democratic senators on the floor, in the cloakroom and in lunches,” a senior Senate Democratic source told CNN on condition of anonymity to discuss private talks among lawmakers.
She’s burned Bernie one too many times and is clearly “with her” in the election. And in typical DWS fashion, she’s handled that poorly and annoyingly. So she may be out. On CNN this morning, the panel discussing her possible ouster pointed out that she won’t go easy either. She’s not, they think, going to take one for the team.
Once again, I’d like to point out that in any other year, the unrest and turmoil among Democrats would be delightful to behold and great news for Republicans. In any other year. But this is the year of Trump. So everything is crap.
Yay.
