Last night, Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas took a strong stand beside Gov. Pat McCrory of North Carolina against the federal government and Obama’s abuse of authority on the issue of “transgender rights”, the blanket misnomer for allowing anyone at any time to use any bathroom they feel like using regardless of how uncomfortable it makes others or how much it compromises the safety and privacy of women and children.
“Obama is turning bathrooms into courtroom issues,” Abbott told thousands of delegates at Dallas’ convention center. “I want you to know, I am working with the governor of North Carolina, and we are going to fight back.”
The Right Scoop points out Abbott’s strong conservative record. And as you’ll see here at RedState shortly, the Lt. Gov. has a few more choice words to add this morning as well.
This is not a minor issue. This is not a simple dispute. It is a test of our resolve to stand against their remaking of America. Abbot and McCrory have not broken. Neither should we.
