Obama in Paris: Mass Shootings Just Don't Happen In Other Countries

In Paris on Tuesday, President Obama had a press conference as part of the Paris global warming convention, when he said something so monumentally insensitive that, for once, I actually agree with the idea that Obama should be apologizing on our behalf abroad. For electing him.

Obama was talking about the heinous murders that took place last week in Colorado Springs, and he made the following ridiculous assertion. I would like to once again note that he was speaking from Paris. The one in France. The country in Europe. You may have heard about it recently.

“I mean, I say this every time we’ve got one of these mass shootings: this just doesn’t happen in other countries.”

Really?

From “Je Suis Charlie” to “Vive La France” to “I’m sorry, what was your name again?” in the space of a few months.

Never forget. That’s what people say. And after Obama suddenly remembered, he switched jumped out of the above line of conversation to talking about partnering with France in the fight against terror. So even he knew how idiotic he sounded.

Get that apology tour going, Mr. President. In this case, it is more than warranted.
