Comey's Jaw-Dropping Comment About One of the 'Political Parties,' Plus His 'Please Clap' Moment

I wrote about some of the twisted things that former FBI Director James Comey said during his interview on Jen Psaki's MSNBC show.

He attacked Republicans, "I know Republicans these days aren't thinking about principle or precedent,” he snarked, although he's probably the last person with any credibility to talk about anyone else. He also said, "Someday there will be a Democratic president and there'll be investigations of Republican officeholders."

Indeed, we see that's exactly what's on their mind, as Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) tipped their hand on another MSNBC show with Alex Witt.

Comey also hilariously claimed that he had stepped back to being a grandfather and wearing t-shirts, but the fact that he was wearing a suit, his prior work outfit, was a sign of his courage.

I was actually, and I’m embarrassed to say, trying to withdraw a little bit, especially since last November. Be a grandfather, be an author, wear t-shirts and jeans all the time, and the reason I’m dressed in my old uniform is to remind myself that’s the coward’s way. You must stand up and speak. Everyone who can speak, I can speak about the rule of law, especially needs to be out there because there are real serious threats and the only thing that’s necessary for them to triumph is for good men and women to be silent.

Gak. Please clap, folks, and recognize the great bravery.

But Comey wasn't done yet with the warped comments to Psaki.

Psaki claimed the Trump administration was "testing the system" like it hadn't been tested before. She asked Comey if he thought any laws needed to be implemented to "help better manage" that. Think of what she's saying there, debating creating laws to deal with Trump/Republican actions. Then Comey went over the edge in response.

"Let’s say you work in the FBI. You know that one of the two political parties is, let me put it nicely, white supremacist-adjacent, at a minimum," Comey sniped.

"And so why would you want to throw your career on that side of the line and be summoned to Capitol Hill to be asked, ‘Why are you pursuing these innocent groups?’”

Did he call Republicans "white supremacist-adjacent?" More than 77 million people just voted for President Donald Trump. This is just a disgusting smear. Saying this about the Republicans in Congress is similarly unhinged. This guy held a position of power in our government, and he makes comments like this?

What is he saying in that second paragraph? It sounds equally unhinged.

You wonder why Americans are fleeing from Democrats. What's funny about Comey's comments is that he's the one not living in reality. Even the Obama Bros were acknowledging that men, the young, and people of color were moving toward the right and away from the Democrats.

Comey's comments did not go over well on X. This was a good summation.
