Watch: Ex-Pentagon Biden Admin Failure Spouts Drone Nonsense

The Biden administration was inept in many ways - one might argue, in every way. They were bad at messaging, they were bad on immigration, and they were bad at keeping the supposed President of the United States upright and conscious most of the time. But one of the ways in which the Biden administration was especially inept was in anything to do with our armed forces. The Biden team seemed to view the armed services as a jobs program for anyone with the neurosis du jour, so these people could get their gender-affirming care paid for by the taxpayers.

So, when the CBS News program 60 Minutes brings a former Biden Pentagon official with zero military experience in to talk about Operation Epic Fury and the use of drones, you can and should expect an outpouring of horse squeeze. And that's what we saw when that program brought in a Biden creature, "Former Pentagon Official" Mara Karlin to talk freely about matters she knows little about.

She said:

They went into this war prepared for certain threats, like missiles. They did not go into this war prepared for other threats like drones hitting soft targets.

Unprepared for drones hitting soft targets? That probably explains the United States military's 96 percent success rate at shooting down Iranian drones. That happened in large part to the Merops system, which employs artificial intelligence to increase drone interceptions. That's pretty much the opposite of unprepared.

Shall we talk about a presidential administration being unprepared? Why would anyone from the former Biden administration want to open this can of worms? This person, Mara Karlin, was in the Pentagon during the administration that pulled off the disastrous Charlie Foxtrot that was the withdrawal from Afghanistan, a humiliating episode if ever there was one. This is also the administration that left American soldiers who were in Israel during the October 7, 2023, attacks by Hamas twisting in the breeze by denying them access to their weapons and ammo. In short, Mara Karlin is a) wildly partisan, and b) has zero real-world experience in military matters. Meanwhile, our armed forces are doing sterling work in the skies over Iran.

Being old enough to remember when 60 Minutes was a somewhat respectable program, it's hard to see the partisan mess it became. Maybe the new boss, Bari Weiss, will be able to drag 60 Minutes back into some semblance of objectivity, along with the rest of the network - that's a Herculean task indeed, but it needs doing.

Meanwhile, any time we hear a Biden administration official opining on military matters, we know one thing immediately: Their opinions can be safely disregarded. The grownups are back in charge now, and former Biden people are about as relevant as an ice cube-maker on the shores of the Arctic Ocean.
