Trump's Armada Advances: Iran Now on Notice for Nuclear Deal

President Trump, on Wednesday, let fly a broadside against Iran; he's offering them the chance to make a deal, with a couple of preconditions. The main precondition, delivered in characteristic Trump style, is NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS. The president is also offering to show Iran what the "or else" is.

The post states:

A massive Armada is heading to Iran. It is moving quickly, with great power, enthusiasm, and purpose. It is a larger fleet, headed by the great Aircraft Carrier Abraham Lincoln, than that sent to Venezuela. Like with Venezuela, it is, ready, willing, and able to rapidly fulfill its mission, with speed and violence, if necessary. Hopefully Iran will quickly “Come to the Table” and negotiate a fair and equitable deal - NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS - one that is good for all parties. Time is running out, it is truly of the essence! As I told Iran once before, MAKE A DEAL! They didn’t, and there was “Operation Midnight Hammer,” a major destruction of Iran. The next attack will be far worse! Don’t make that happen again. Thank you for your attention to this matter!  President DONALD J. TRUMP

Iran, yes, should come to the table. We can certainly do them a lot of damage without putting a single boot on the ground, and candidly, that's not something we should be considering. But there are a couple of other conditions that the United States should insist upon, if we are indeed going to be a part of this negotiation.

The first condition: The mullahs go. Khamenei, in particular, should leave Iran. He lost. His agenda was lost. It took years, but the time for the theocratic rule of the Ayatollah and his minions must be over, now. If Putin takes them in, fine. Suppose Xi Jinping will take them in - doubtful - fine. As long as they aren't in Iran.

The second condition: Free, internationally monitored elections. Every adult Iranian citizen gets a vote. Now, I use the term "citizen" advisedly, because right now, under the mullahs, under their system of phony, self-serving "elections," the Iranian people are not citizens. They barely rise to the level of subjects. They must have free, honest elections. If that lands Reza Pahlavi back in Tehran as president of a new Iran, so be it.

It's time for Iran to change. The images we are getting out of Iran, the few clips of video that are leaking out since the regime clamped down on communications, are honestly horrifying. This barbarous regime has spread death and disorder all around the world with its unending support of Islamic terror groups. A free Iran - a free Persia - should be a free and prosperous place. But in the end, only elections, only the Iranian people can make this happen.

We can and should support them, though. And that sure looks like what President Trump is doing. He's also made it pretty clear to the regime that he's willing to show them what the "or else" means.
