The post concludes:

God bless America, and all those who defend Her.

Also on Wednesday, President Donald Trump was asked about the announcement:

The president said:

Dan? Dan did a great job. I think he wants to go back to his show.

When Mr. Bongino accepted the FBI position, he was replaced on his Westwood network radio program by a District of Columbia-based commentator, Vince Coglianese. It's unclear how easy it would be for Mr. Bongino to return to the airwaves, although his fame and recent high-profile history make it seem likely.

White House Issues Statement Following Pam Bondi, Dan Bongino Rumors Over Epstein Files

Also on Wednesday, a brief piece at The Hill made a similar claim:

Bongino has reportedly had misgivings about the job since at least July, when he clashed with Attorney General Pam Bondi over the handling of the Epstein files. Bongino reportedly weighed quitting at the time amid frustration with the lack of transparency in the case.

This is, of course, all rumor at this point. What we know for sure is that Dan Bongino has announced his departure and has done so graciously. And that's enough. We should simply thank Dan Bongino for his efforts and wish him every success in whatever he does after his departure from government service. Good luck, Dan!
