Strong Talk From Tulsi Gabbard: 'Iran's Nuclear Facilities Have Been Destroyed.'

It's a safer world today. On Wednesday, Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard, on her official X account, made a very unambiguous statement about Iran's nuclear facilities - namely, that they have been destroyed, and she's the person who's literally in the position to know, if anyone in the USA does.

The post continues:

The propaganda media has deployed their usual tactic: selectively release portions of illegally leaked classified intelligence assessments (intentionally leaving out the fact that the assessment was written with "low confidence") to try to undermine President Trump’s decisive leadership and the brave servicemen and women who flawlessly executed a truly historic mission to keep the American people safe and secure.

Tulsi Gabbard knows a thing or two about the propaganda media, from personal experience. Formerly a Democrat, she was the Democratic candidate for president in 2020 who defenestrated Kamala Harris in the Democratic Party's presidential primary debate. Since she announced she was joining the Republican Party and the Trump team, she has been subjected to a truly hysterical amount of opprobrium from the legacy media and Democrats (but I repeat myself.) Despite their efforts, she appears to be doing very well in the job.

CNN, over the last few days, has been lambasted over its claims to the contrary on the matter of Iran's nuclear facilities, and today, doubled down on its earlier reporting:

Their reporting was by one Natasha Bertrand, she of "Hunter Biden's laptop is Russian disinformation" fame. Perhaps the destruction of Iran's nuclear capabilities is also Russian disinformation? To Ms. Betrand, I can say only this: There are only so many times you can go to that particular well.

Let's be real: If I'm weighing credibility against credibility, I'll take the assessment of the Director of National Intelligence, the person who oversees and directs the foreign intelligence-gathering apparatus of the United States, over that of CNN. Indications are increasingly supporting Iran's nuclear program being set back years, maybe decades, and we should note that such a setback doesn't require making sure not one stone is left atop another. Much of the equipment used in these processes is touchy and fragile, and disrupting operations and damaging or destroying equipment may well hamstring Iran's processes as much as leveling every single building to the ground.

Even Iran is admitting that their facilities are "badly damaged." And, if you ask me in whose word I place more stock, Iran's or CNN's, I'd have to weigh that; it's a tough call.

But when DNI Gabbard makes a statement like this, I'm inclined to breathe a little easier.

At least one figure of note has taken issue with CNN's insistence that their reporting is accurate:

Inaccurate and unapologetic - this is CNN.
