This Is How It's Done: ICE Arrests Foreign Fugitive, Suspected Al-Qaeda Member

Well, this is good news. On Tuesday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the May 23rd arrest of a Russian citizen born in Tajikistan, who was in the United States illegally. The illegal alien, who ICE has not named, is being sought by the Tajikistan authorities for being a suspected member of the terrorist group Al-Qaeda

ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Philadelphia, in partnership with the FBI, arrested a 39-year-old male, born in Tajikistan and a citizen of Russia, in the early morning hours on May 23, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

“Arresting individuals linked to terrorist organizations such as Al-Qaeda reaffirms our unwavering commitment to safeguard the homeland. Through close collaboration with our outstanding partners at the FBI, we have taken decisive action to make our communities safer and prevent potential threats to the American people,” said ERO Philadelphia acting Field Office Director Brian McShane. “I commend the dedicated men and women of ICE and the FBI for their tireless efforts and steadfast resolve in protecting this great nation.”

This individual was first encountered at San Ysidro Pedestrian West point of entry in California March 21, 2023, where he was charged as an inadmissible alien under the Immigration and Nationality Act because he didn’t have an immigrant visa. He was served a notice to appear before an immigration judge and paroled into the United States.

Earlier this month, Tajikistan officials declared this individual a fugitive, wanted for organization of a criminal community. It is alleged that he is or was a member of Al-Qaeda.

Whoever this goblin is, he's in ICE custody pending removal from the United States, presumably back to Tajikistan.

Note that this suspected terrorist came into the United States illegally across our southern border under the Biden administration, was handed a court date with an immigration judge at some point in the future, and was just released into the United States. Not only that, he was identified as an inadmissible alien, but was allowed in anyway.

There's no mention of him being suspected of any crime in the United States other than entering and remaining in the country illegally. There's no mention of him being involved with any other illegal aliens or possible jihadist terror cells. But he was arrested in a major American city far from the southern border, Philadelphia.

That's disconcerting. Why? Because, as I've said and written for years, as many as 20 million people may be in the country illegally. Most of them were minimally screened and vetted, if indeed any screening or vetting was done at all. Many of them were treated like this unnamed Russian national; given a date to appear before an immigration judge, patted on the head, and allowed into the United States. We don't know why many of these people are here. We don't know what they have planned. We don't know what they may be doing. We don't know what associations they have or who they may be taking direction from.

There are doubtless many more out there like this unnamed fugitive from Tajikistan. ICE did a great job in identifying and detaining this goblin. But cleaning up the mess the Biden administration has made just on illegal immigration alone will be the work of years.

Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
