Eric Swalwell Issues Another Empty Threat. Nobody Cares.

Lord, what fools these mortals be, as Shakespeare's character "Puck" noted in "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Puck could well have been speaking of Representative Eric Swalwell (D-CA), who has a bear's unerring instinct for Chinese honey traps, but who lacks the bear's strength, charisma, and intelligence.

In his latest display of "Please pay attention to me," Representative Swalwell has responded to the (justified) arrest of Democrat Rep. LaMonica McIver by issuing some empty threats in a statement to the literally dozens of viewers on MSNBC.

This is just too rich; here's what he said.

...In jail, for an indefinite amount of time. We can't trust them so we have to do our oversight duties, and she was in the right to go and do that and I promise you there's going to be more unnoticed... yeah, unnoticed visits by my colleagues. When they show up, they better be let in.

Or else what, Congressman?

There's so much wrong with Rep. Swalwell's statement here that it's difficult to know where to begin, so we'll begin at the beginning.

Yes, Congressman, if you get arrested for interfering with a federal agent in the legal performance of his duties, you'll go to jail. If you can't post bond, you may be in jail for an indefinite amount of time. That's called accepting responsibility for your actions.

Yes, Congressman, you can't trust them - the Trump administration - to continue the Biden administration's ridiculous non-enforcement of the border and the non-existent enforcement of immigration law; that much is true, and your befuddled former President and whoever was running the autopen have left President Trump with a big, big mess to clean up. And he's going to do that. You can trust in that.

No, Congressman, LaMonica McIver was not in the right to attack federal officers who were performing their legal duties. The charges against her are clear, and there is unambiguous video evidence to support those charges.

Yes, Congressman, any future visits will probably be unnoticed, as in, nobody will notice, unless your Democrat colleagues try to incite another riot at the gate to another detention center, and assault federal law enforcement in the process. Then they will draw notice, all of the sort they won't enjoy. And when they show up, unless it's a pre-approved inspection tour, they will be turned away, just as any random knucklehead showing up at the gate will be turned away.

Meanwhile, LaMonica McIver will have to stand up in court and answer for her actions. You know why, Congressman? Because nobody is above the law.

After Thoroughly Humiliating One Dem Rep., Kristi Noem Faces Off With the Hapless Eric Swalwell

No one is above the law - unless, according to Representative Swalwell, they are fomenting a riot at the entrance of a detention facility housing some of the worst of the worst of illegal alien criminals.

Eric Swalwell's primary role in American politics seems to be to provide comic relief. In this statement, on MSNBC (because, of course, it was), he seems to be taking that role to the next level, and his statement just begs the question asked above: "Or else what, Congressman?"

The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject its globalist agenda.
