California Dem. Rep. Eric Swalwell is “special,” although not in a good way. He regularly plays a very unconvincing tough guy, and he’s convinced of his own intellectual brilliance although no one else is. He’s never lived down being exposed as having ties to a woman named “Fang Fang,” who just happened to be a Chinese spy. Oops.
On Wednesday, the grandstanding rep. was at it again as he attempted to dunk on DHS Secretary Kristi Noem during a Homeland Security budget hearing in Washington, D.C. Instead of asking her about the security of the country, or our progress in stemming the flow of illegal aliens at our southern border, Swalwell was obsessed over a photo of deported MS-13 gangbanger Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s knuckles.
Perhaps he’s only able to concentrate on one thing at a time:
Swalwell was grilling Noem about a photo of Abrego Garcia’s hand that shows alleged MS-13 tattoos during a Homeland Security budget hearing in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday.
[Pomposity alert:] "I want you to have credibility and I want you to be taken seriously. Is this doctored or is it not?" Swalwell asked, referring to the photo that President Donald Trump shared on social media. Swalwell was asserting that the letters "M," "S" and the numbers "1" and "3" above the tattoos were edited onto the photo.
Noem attempted to answer, but as a rule, Swalwell is more interested in hearing himself talk than he is in listening to other people. (Profanity alert, since Democrats have recently taken to swearing at every possible occasion:)
Noem tried to respond, saying that the deportation of Abrego Garcia was based off an investigation, not a photo, but was interrupted by Swalwell.
"Madam Secretary, I have a seven-year-old, a six-year-old and a three-year-old," Swalwell said. "I have a bulls--- detector. I'm just asking you, is this doctored or not?"
The secretary was incredulous that this is how Swalwell would choose to use his time:
Noem replied that it was "unbelievable" that the lawmaker’s focus was on a photo and not on the importance of U.S. national security, before saying she had "no knowledge" of the photo in question.
Watch:
"Is it doctored, or not doctored? Madam Secretary [Noem], I have a bullsh*t detector. Is this doctored or not doctored? Can you answer the question?"

Eric Swalwell is a special kind of stupid 🤣pic.twitter.com/do2DNrTwVh
It wasn’t the first Democrat Noem made look like a fool Wednesday; she and Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R) absolutely humiliated Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) earlier, as RedState’s Nick Arama reported.

That's why he got played by a Chinese spy, cause he's so good at detecting things pic.twitter.com/Ugd2bNuP4J
Swalwell has other moments he’ll never live down:
Hmm. I seem to recall Ruben Gallego and his boy Eric Swalwell riding camels on a junket to Qatar. When they were shutting down American businesses during the pandemic.https://t.co/6JCmtKzolH https://t.co/2hLZJQcbsK pic.twitter.com/io4UhTuLrj

Swalwell came across as an IQ-challenged, pompous high school bully in this exchange, and he showed exactly why Democrats are so unpopular now: they don’t seem to care about the real issues facing the country. He obsesses over a single photograph of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, yet ignores plenty of other evidence—including his own spouse’s allegations of wife-beating—that show that he was not a good guy and not someone we want in our country.
Swalwell often comes across as a cartoon character, and yet he is a sitting member of Congress. It boggles the mind.
The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject their globalist agenda.
