The Democrats just seem to blunder from gaffe to mistake to screw-up to complete Charlie Foxtrots these days. This, at the moment, is a political party that can't win for losing, and when you see who they seem to look to for leadership, ranging from a loudmouth former bartender from Brooklyn to a noodle-armed loudmouth from Florida, it hardly comes as a surprise.
Notice the common characteristic there? There is an old saying that goes, "An empty vessel makes the most noise," and if we apply that truism, today's Democratic Party sounds like 10,000 dirty hippies pounding with wooden clubs on the sides of an empty oil tanker.
Our most recent example is one Hanna Trudo, a political correspondent at The Hill, who is reportedly considering a run for the House of Representatives from New Hampshire. The problem? Her "working class" cred, which she claims, isn't all it's cracked up to be.
A Democrat exploring a run for Congress in New Hampshire has already hit snags with her political plans after details of her seemingly luxurious life have leaked online.
Hanna Trudo, a former journalist for the Daily Beast, Politico and the Hill, issued a memo in early May outlining her interest in running for Congress in New Hampshire's first Congressional district after moving back to her home state.
She described her upbringing in New Hampshire as part of a 'working class' home, raised by a single mother.
'As a New Hampshire girl who grew up working class, I'm demanding more from our Democrats,' she wrote on social media in early May.
Her upbringing may have been one thing, but her lifestyle today makes these statements ring pretty hollow.
When the hosts of the Ruthless podcast, a show hosted by political operatives, featured Trudo in a segment, she reached out on social media to ask them for a potential interview.
'Let's talk. My ties to broken policies and promises that fail the working class go well beyond what I've covered as a journalist. I've lived it. Would love to debate and discuss, DMs open,' she wrote publicly.
The hosts Josh Holmes, Comfortably Smug, Michael Duncan, and John Ashbrook, accepted her offer to appear on the show, but they say she soon ghosted producers for two weeks when they tried to contact her.
In response, the show began investigating her background and started leaking a trail of public information, revealing her luxurious public life behind the scenes.
The team discovered a photo of Trudo's profile on Luxy, an exclusive dating website profile for millionaires and 'outstanding and sophisticated singles.'

Because nothing says "reaching out to the working class" like joining a millionaire's dating site and posting pictures of your Ferrari.

Is this a "rising star" in the Democratic Party? She may well be, when you compare her to what they have to offer. The Democrats' bench at the moment is either laughable, pathetic, or sometimes (Tim Walz) both. They bring out hair-gelled beta males to appeal to "masculinity," they think "The View" is hard-hitting journalism, they are now lauding "Pothole Pete" Buttigieg as a likely 2028 presidential candidate, all the while, their senior leadership in Congress has an average age measured on the geological scale. Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi started in politics when policy proposals were carved into wooden slabs with flint blades, and today, there they are, aging like buttermilk but still holding their treasured seats in the House and Senate.
It's a great time to be... Well, anyone but a Democrat. And now we have another supposed up-and-comer who just can't help but to screw up.
