Attorney General Pam Bondi, in response to a flood of whining from Democrats over the repatriation of illegal alien criminals by the Trump administration, has let fly. She is calling Democrats, among other things, "Detached from Reality" - and she has a point.
Attorney General Pam Bondi zeroed in on Democrats and members of the liberal media for their ongoing collective outrage surrounding alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia's erroneous deportation to an El Salvadoran megaprison last month, telling Fox News' Jesse Watters "we [don't] want him back."
"These people are so detached from reality that they don't care about the victims of crimes in this country," Bondi said Monday.
"There is a reason that Donald Trump declared MS-13 as a foreign terrorist organization because they have come to our country, they are highly organized, they are murdering people, they are raping people. They are organized crime at its worst. They are spread rampant throughout our country, and we are going to rid our country of MS-13 and TDA [Tren de Aragua]."
Democrats have been opposing, it seems, the repatriation of anyone here in the United States illegally, regardless of their background or their rap sheets; it seems that there isn't a gang-banger or criminal that they won't defend, doing everything they can to keep these goblins from being sent back to where they properly belong. It's another 80-20 issue that they are inexplicably staying firmly on the wrong side of. In fact, when the question is limited to illegal aliens who have committed violent crimes, it's a 97-3 issue.
Here's the interesting part:
Bondi's remarks followed President Trump's Oval Office meeting with El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele, and Maryland Democratic Sen. Chris Van Hollen requesting a meeting with Bukele himself, urging Abrego Garcia to be returned to the U.S.
The Supreme Court upheld a lower court's order last week, requiring "the government to 'facilitate' Abrego Garcia's release from custody in El Salvador and to ensure that his case is handled as it would have been had he not been improperly sent to El Salvador."
Now, I'm not a legal expert to comment on this case properly, but RedState's own Susie Moore is. Read her piece on that Supreme Court decision:
But to this layman, it seems that Kilmar Abrego Garcia is an El Salvadorn citizen, he is in El Salvador, he is in fact held in an El Salvadoran prison, and El Salvador's president Bukele himself has said they won't be sending him back. The American courts have no say in it - besides, our court systems have enough on their plates already:

Also on Tuesday, we learned that some Congressional Democrats plan to travel to El Salvador to plead for the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia. This is a grand waste of the taxpayers' money. President Bukele has already indicated that Abrego Garcia will be remaining where he is, and these Congressional Democrats - who are going down there to plead for leniency for an alleged MS-13 gang member - have no influence. Abrego Garcia is now El Salvador's problem, and that's appropriate; in all the years he stayed in the United States, he, apparently, never sought to legitimize his presence. He was here illegally and remained here illegally; he knew he was here illegally, and he made his choice.
Democrats could, it seems, profit by a blunt explanation of the concept of "national sovereignty." Perhaps President Bukele is the right man to explain that to them.
Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
