Israel is not only the United States' staunchest ally in the Middle East, but they are also the only country in that part of the world with a freely elected parliamentary government. They are also a small nation, one who, since 1948, has literally made the desert bloom - and who is surrounded by people who want to see it wiped off the face of the earth.
Since last year's notorious October 7th attacks, the gloves have been off, and Israel has been kicking some and taking some. Part of the operations have been into Gaza's Rafah, a city in the southern part of the Gaza Strip which, like so much of Gaza, is infested with Hamas goblins. Israel is hunting those Hamas goblins, having more or less declared an open season with no bag limit, and that means moving into Rafah.
Now we learn that the Biden administration not only warned Israel against moving against Rafah but threatened to toss the Jewish state under the bus if they did.

The entire post reads:
In a candid closed-door meeting, Prime Minister Netanyahu shared explosive details of alleged threats he received from U.S. leaders over the past year.
“President Biden called me before the operation in Rafah and warned, ‘Prime Minister Netanyahu, if you proceed, you will be left on your own,’” Netanyahu recounted.
“My response was clear and resolute,” he continued. “‘Then we will handle it on our own.’”
Netanyahu revealed that just two days later, Secretary of State Antony Blinken delivered a follow-up warning: “You will not receive any further military aid.”
Undeterred, Netanyahu said he fired back: “We will fight with our hands and claws if we must. We will not compromise on Rafah.”
According to the Prime Minister, American officials had warned of catastrophic casualties in the operation, predicting up to 20,000 deaths. “That claim turned out to be a complete fabrication,” he said, underscoring his refusal to back down under pressure.

Undeterred indeed: Israel has continued to strike at Hamas, Hezbollah, and their supply chains. Another commenter on X weighs in with some specifics:
Not gonna lie, I don’t exactly understand what Netanyahu’s strategy is here but some of the things he’s revealing are unbelievable, and not in a good way.

The good news is he said we’ve destroyed 80% of Hezbollah’s rocket arsenal.

This isn't a conflict that will be resolved overnight. This isn't even a conflict that will be decided on or around January 20th, when President-elect Donald Trump resumes office, who is more friendly to Israel than the Biden administration has been. This is, after all, Israel's fight. While the United States can and will sell arms and munitions to Israel, any direct American involvement should be weighed against any compelling American interests.
Besides, the Israelis seem to be doing a pretty good job on their own.

Even so, this threat by the Biden administration is unconscionable. Whoever is behind this threat - Joe Biden is, let's face it yet again, not capable - is likely from the pro-Hamas wing of the Democratic Party. But come January, there will not only be a change of administration but a change in who is representing America in Israel - a new face that will be more friendly to the Jewish state.

Joe Biden, in his few remaining weeks as president of the United States, can bluster and bloviate all he wants. In January, he and his threats will be permanently resigned to that beach chair in Deleware, that beach chair he can't lift, and he won't be issuing any more threats.
