Is Joe Biden - or whoever is pulling his strings (Jill) - trying to sabotage Kamala Harris' presidential campaign? Because if he were, it would be hard to see what he would be doing differently. Here are a couple of recent examples from the X-verse.
Kamala is currently on the View.

So Joe Biden is holding a White House briefing on hurricane relief at the same moment Kamala Harris is appearing on - ugh- "The View." Bear in mind that the president hasn't held very many such events, and that's understandable; his administration has done all they can do to keep him out of the public eye, or at least, they did, until the first presidential debate revealed just how badly deteriorated befuddled old Joe really is. Even so, this isn't so much a direct act of sabotage as a scheduling screw-up, but it does bring up one interesting question: Are these two even speaking anymore?
Honestly, one would think a little bit of coordination in scheduling would be in order - at least, if we presume that the Biden camp actually wants Kamala Harris to win the election.

But wait! There's more! In the wake of Kamala Harris' attack on Florida's own Ron DeSantis, President Biden again tossed Kamala Harris under the bus - and then, perhaps channeling a famous Alaskan tradition, launched the bus off a cliff.
Biden, responding to screaming reporters trying to get him to attack Florida Governor Ron DeSantis with false claims he’s being political about #Milton and not chatting with Vice President Harris:

From that X post:
The Governor of Florida has been cooperative. He’s said he's gotten all that he needs. I talked to him again yesterday and I said — a — boy — I said I know you're doing a great job. It’s being all — being done well, we thank you for it and I literally gave him my personal phone number to call, so I don't know — there was a rough start in some places, but every governor — every governor — from Florida to North Carolina, has been fully cooperative and supportive and acknowledged what this team is doing and they're doing an incredible job.
One of two things is happening here: Either the Biden camp (and I think we all know who is really in charge in that group) is demonstrating a staggering display of incompetence in scheduling and they aren't even trying to speak to whoever is in charge of setting up Kamala Harris' string of feather-soft interviews, or the Biden camp is miffed at the way old Joe was shoved rudely aside (for which we can scarcely blame them) and is trying to deliberately sabotage the Harris run for the White House.
Or, we could embrace the power of "both."
Sure, politics is an ugly business, and has been since even before the Greek poet Meletus accused the philosopher Socrates of "impiety" and asked for the death penalty. Nowadays nobody's passing around literal cups of hemlock to politicians - but Joe Biden was sure given a metaphorical cup of hemlock, and it sure seems as though he and his are a little peevish over the whole thing.
But if that is the case, well, I'm inclined to say, "Keep it up, Joe!" The republic can't stand four years of Kamala Harris in the White House, and if another metaphorical cup of hemlock comes her way, courtesy of Team Biden, it's best for the country if that particular cup doesn't pass.
