We've seen it for some time now; President Joe Biden is losing it. His mental and physical deterioration is evident. Donald Trump is squashing him in the RealClearPolitics poll averages. The Biden crime family's peccadillos are coming to light, the administration has completely lost control of the southern border, and the understudy is, to put it as delicately as possible, a cackling incompetent.

Enter, stage left former President Barack Obama, who has had some private meetings with President Biden, reportedly to "express his concern" about the 2024 election.
Former President Barack Obama privately met with President Biden on at least two occasions and expressed concern that he could lose the 2024 election, according to a report.
A new report from TIME Magazine claimed that Obama met with Biden last June to deliver a warning about his re-election chances. Obama allegedly advised Biden to become more aggressive and make the upcoming presidential race a referendum on Trump.
During a private lunch, Obama told Biden his campaign was unstable, persuading unhappy voters would be a challenge and defeating Trump would be more difficult than 2020, according to a Democrat briefed on the discussion.
While he believed at the time that Biden had taken his advice to heart, Obama allegedly saw little improvement over the next six months.
Given that President Biden isn't really in the habit of taking advice from anyone except his son Hunter and then, only when Hunter is telling him which Ukrainian oligarch to back-slap to get Hunter a sweet role on the board of directors for some big Ukrainian oil company, this isn't too surprising. And if the President was in the habit of taking advice from anyone with enough IQ points to pound sand, his administration probably wouldn't be the mess that it is.
Needless to say, the report claims Barack Obama didn't see too many improvements going into a follow-up meeting.
"This time, Obama's message was more urgent. He expressed concern the re-election campaign was behind schedule in building out its field operations and bottlenecked by Biden's insistence on relying upon an insular group of advisers clustered in the West Wing, according to the same Democratic insider," TIME noted.
While Barack Obama is supposedly a private citizen now, he has done one thing that Joe Biden hasn't, and that's winning a second presidential term. So one might think that President Biden would be interested in hearing what Mr. Obama has to say on the matter, but that doesn't appear to be the case - or if it is, Barack Obama's advice wasn't worth all that much after all.
Without significant alterations to his presidential campaign, Obama told Biden Trump could sweep all seven battleground states. Should that happen, Trump would essentially be guaranteed victory. Biden won in 2020 by earning narrow victories in the swing states of Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, all of which Trump won in 2016.
And all of which Trump is leading in the polls right now.
Repeated visits by the last Democrat president to the current Democrat president would appear to smack of desperation, at least on the part of the former chief executive. Polls aside, there are a lot of issues around this election. But it's generally accepted that the candidates and the other power players have access to data that the general public does not - and Barack Obama is worried.
We can draw some comfort, at least, from that.
