Donald Trump Has Some Thoughts on the Primary Against Liz Cheney

Donald Trump has his own unique style and part of that is he is never at a loss for opinions or words. Which was great when he was in the White House for the press and the general public. As I wrote here yesterday we know that CNN sure does miss him.

We know that the great state of Wyoming has just one lone representative to send to the “Peoples House” in Washington D.C. every two years. Since 2017 that seat has been held by Liz Cheney in a legacy capacity due to her famous Dad, the former Vice President of the United States, Richard Cheney. Her Dad also held the lone Wyoming seat a long time ago so generally the famous last name spawn always seems to think a seat that a family member once held should go them. See the Kennedys, Bushs, and Clintons.

So Liz ran into a bit of political trouble right after the election for dissing on Trump which I’m sure was something she was really hoping to do. I know she voted for the policies the administration advocated for the vast majority of the time but the Trump push to end the Afghan War really ground her it seemed. So when Pennsylvania came out the Saturday after the election and declared Joe Biden would win their electoral votes thus giving the Presidency to Joe, Liz decided she could take some shots at 45.

Donald never forgets.

He just released this statement over at DonaldJTrump.com

Paying close attention to the Wyoming House Primary against loser RINO Liz Cheney. Some highly respected pollsters tell me she’s toast in Wyoming after siding with Crazy Nancy Pelosi and supporting the Democrat Impeachment Hoax. And that’s just the beginning! This is a “hot” race with some very interesting candidates running against her. Remember though, in the end we just want ONE CANDIDATE running against Cheney. I’ll be meeting with some of her opponents in Bedminster next week and will be making my decision on who to endorse in the next few months. JUST ONE CANDIDATE. Thank you!

While some have speculated that Trump does not have the pull he did while he was President and his endorsement does not have the weight it once did, there is no proof of that yet. That he is willing to dive in and endorse one person so early means that he wants to focus all the followers he has on that one person to knock off Cheney.

Even though I was not a fan of Liz before her statements about how Trump caused the riot at the Capitol in January, she has not been a bad representative. However, if you want to make the republic as strong as possible then no politician should be made to feel their seat is safe. They should be willing to earn it each and every time no matter if it is in a primary or a general election.

If never Trump thinks they can nip Trump and his supporters then I would be guessing they will be parachuting in the Lincoln Project to save her seat. That would be the perfect test after the former President makes his endorsement for who he would like to see replace Cheney in 2022.

This also does rely on the fact that Liz has to decide to run which she very well may decide not to do. She is a legacy name candidate anyway so she feels more at him in Washington D.C. than with the people of Wyoming. Maybe she should make it easy on herself and just announce she retiring to work for a think tank that wants Americans in a war for decades with no ascertainable goal.

I bet those types of jobs pay better.
