Almost 24 hours after the Federal Govt Shutdown ended with President Trump signing a 21-day bill to keep the doors open Socialist/Fascist superstar Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez announced she was skipping Sundance to see a film that had her in it.

Because of the after effect of the shutdown?

According to Variety

“Due to complications from the gov shutdown, I’m sad to say I’ll miss @jubileefilms’ premiere of Knock Down the House. This film was made, with love, for people.”

“Knock Down the House” is Rachel Lears and Robin Blotnick’s kickstarter-funded documentary that followed four women who ran for Congress, including Ocasio-Cortez and Amy Vilela, Cori Bush, and Paula Jean Swearengin. It’s scheduled to premiere at Sundance Film Festival at the MARC Theater at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27.

She made the heartbreaking announcement in a tweet.

A.O.C. was not clear on what the complications might have been. The government is reopened and she has been paid throughout this whole ordeal. Maybe Nancy Pelosi could not get approval from President Trump to use her plane to get to Utah. I’m sure Alyssa Milano could have let her borrow her jet.

Maybe Cortez thought Utah left the Union during the shutdown and she was not sure where her passport was.

Maybe she thought Uber was not back up and running after the shutdown.

Whatever the reason, you have to hand it to a freshman congressperson for skipping going to an event that is going to feature you. The film does feature four women running for Congress but no one cares about the other three, they just want their A.O.C fix and how disappointed they shall be.

Maybe her canceling had something to do with Robert Redford stepping back from his role as the kingpin of this event. Robert Redford Exits Sundance Opening Presser; Taking More Backseat Role.

Whatever the reason lets all hope Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is all set for the next 20 days and will lead the U.S. House of Representatives to a solution to get an extended deal signed. Something that doesn’t tax anything that moves.

We can only hope.
