Just when you thought you knew everything there was to know about the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the illegal alien from El Salvador with ties to MS-13 who was recently returned to his homeland by the Trump administration, even more news surfaces that doesn't paint the "Maryland man" in a very good light.
It turns out that Abrego Garcia had not one, but two, protective orders taken out against him by his wife, Jennifer Vasquez, for domestic violence. This is the same wife who appeared in front of TV cameras Tuesday to dramatically tell the media, "I will not stop fighting until I see my husband alive" -- oh, and please donate to my GoFundMe when you get the chance.
Investigative reporter Andy Ngo was the first to uncover a record showing that Vasquez had filed filed for a protective order against Abrego Garcia back in May of 2021, citing domestic violence as the reason:

A deeper dig by RedState into Maryland court records uncovered a second protective order filed by Vasquez against Abrego Garcia from August 2020, again for domestic violence.

As this new information about Abrego Garcia's violent past was coming to light, Democrat Senator Chris Van Hollen from Maryland continued his theater kid schtick by hotfooting it down to El Salvador in the hopes of worshipping at the altar of an illegal gangbanger with a documented history of domestic abuse. The Trump White House was quick to note that Van Hollen had tweeted at least 10 times in support of the violent illegal while not once ever mentioning Rachel Morin, the Maryland mom-of-five who was brutally raped and murdered by yet another illegal Salvadoran.

To recap, Chris Van Hollen and the Democrat Party are going all-in on "protecting" the "rights" of illegals, consequences to actual Americans like Rachel Morin be damned.
This lackadaisical attitude to protecting American citizens is all too pervasive in the DC-Maryland-Virginia (DMV) area, home to several thousand MS-13 gang members. There are scores of miscreants like Kilmar Abrego Garcia wandering our streets every day. They congregate in places like Home Depot or, like in my town's case, the local 7-11, seeking work as day laborers. They suck up law enforcement resources as they beat their women and drive drunk on our streets. Their gang ties make them dangerous to all around them, especially the girls and young women on whom they prey.
Sure, this may be a generalization, but I see this generalization in my community every day. It's disheartening and enraging that one party, as so unashamedly embodied by Chris Van Hollen, insists on forcing this criminal chaos on law-abiding citizens.
The next time you hear Democrats like Chris Van Hollen droning on about "due process" for violent illegals like Kilmar Abrego Garcia, remember what they’re actually defending: a repeat domestic abuser with gang ties who should have never been in this country in the first place. This isn't compassion; it's calculated neglect. Actually, let's just call it what it is: betrayal.
