While the sane people of America may find the continual hypocrisy of the Democrat Party breathtaking, for the Democrats, they can't help but spew hypocrisy with their every breath. They and their supporters have simply forgotten, or perhaps never learned, how to tell the truth.
We're seeing this very thing playing out right in front of our eyes with the drama surrounding the Continuing Resolution (CR). RedState's Bonchie had a nice summation of why there was such a severe backlash to the bill:
In short, this CR is yet another attempt to hamstring the incoming Trump administration and codify a series of Democrat priorities before Republicans take full control of the government. To do that now would be inexcusable and a betrayal of the voters who showed up to the polls in 2024 to put the GOP in power.
This pushback played out Wednesday on X, with Elon Musk and his DOGE co-chair, Vivek Ramaswamy, weighing in on the pork-laden bill to temporarily fund the federal government. Musk, who waged war on the bill in a flurry of tweets, went so far as to issue a stark warning: "Any member of the House or Senate who votes for this outrageous spending bill deserves to be voted out in 2 years!"
Wednesday began with your typical "What exactly is in this bill?" kind of questioning, and ended with "Hell no! Speaker of the House Mike Johnson must insist on a clean CR." What happened in between is what really got the Democrats' knickers in a twist; in a tweet-storm of epic proportions—the likes of which we haven't seen since the early days of The Tea Party—Musk almost singlehandedly derailed the legislation and forced Congress back to the drawing board.
Rand Paul Stirs the Pot With His Wild Suggestion of Who Should Actually Be Speaker of the House
Speaker Mike Johnson Isn't Going Anywhere (of That, Trump Is Certain)
Democrats loathe Elon Musk because he is one of the few billionaires, the richest of them all actually, who doesn't march in lockstep with the left and follow them off the proverbial cliff. His worst sin, other than buying their sandbox Twitter and implementing free speech on it, is that he has become close to President-elect Donald Trump.
Musk's successful, bill-killing tweet-storm has Democrats apoplectic. Here's one of my senators, the milquetoast Mark Warner (D-VA), weighing in:
It’s a sad state of affairs when the richest man in the world can send us straight towards a government shutdown.
— Mark Warner (@MarkWarner) December 19, 2024
He’ll be fine, but a lot of the servicemembers working without paychecks during Christmas won't be.
You know what is actually "a sad state of affairs," Senator? It's Democrats like you, who have lied to the American people for five years about the declining state of Joe Biden, having the gall to call out Elon Musk for saying that a bad bill is bad.

So, here's my question—with a nice follow-up—to the Democrats who are gnashing their teeth and rending their garments over Citizen Musk using his platform to call out corruption:
What did you know about Joe Biden's senility and when did you know it?
That's it. It's that simple.
Where was Mark Warner and the Democrat Party when the American people wondered who actually was calling the shots—was it Jill? Hunter? Pelosi? Obama? Hillary?—as Joe Biden deteriorated right before their eyes? That's easy to answer: they were busy lying to us and perpetrating the real Big Lie that Biden was fine and in control of everything.
And where are they now, when our enfeebled president has flown the coop and made for Delaware a full week before Christmas, as a budget bill is warred over? We all know he's ceded the presidency to Donald Trump, but the lying Democrats want you to think Elon Musk is the bad guy.
Let's pull that thread. The Democrats are bemoaning the fact that the Elon Musk, an unelected citizen, has stepped in to partially fill the leadership void left by Joe Biden. They think they're being clever when they say, "I don't remember Elon Musk being elected to anything," but here's the reality: they were just fine with unelected people running the United States for the entirety of Joe Biden's presidency.
Any Democrat who didn't speak up about Joe Biden's senility can go ahead and shut his or her mouth right up about Elon Musk. They were fine with unnamed, unelected White House staffers—and lord knows who else—making important decisions for a long time now, so they are kindly invited to quietly suffer the consequences of their own actions.
This is their precedent, they created this situation. It's the one and only Big Lie, and the Democrat Party owns it.
