It's that time of year again, when holiday shopping kicks into overdrive and companies start offering steep discounts in order to move merchandise from their stores to your house.
In previous years, RedState has highlighted companies who didn't deserve your hard-earned cash due to their embrace of DEI and woke ideologies. We're happy to report that, this year, good progress is being made in shaming companies into revoking the kind of leftist policies that send conservatives running in the opposite direction.
Our own Bob Hoge wrote of the excellent work Robby Starbuck has done to help corporations like Walmart come to the conclusion that it's bad for business to pander to the weirdos.
Activist Robby Starbuck has been at the forefront of exposing these divisive efforts, and now he’s just called the nation’s largest retailer onto the carpet for both their DEI efforts and their sexually charged agenda:
Anti-woke activist and filmmaker Robby Starbuck, who has been leading a campaign exposing major corporations' woke policies, said on X on Monday that he warned Walmart executives last week that he would be doing a story on "wokeness" at the retail giant.
"Instead," Starbuck shared, "we had productive conversations to find solutions."
Starbuck outlined the changes Walmart agreed to make, including working to remove sexual and transgender products inappropriately marketed toward children and reviewing grants to Pride events to avoid funding sexualized content targeting kids.
Robby Starbuck has done great work pressuring companies like Walmart, Tractor Supply Co. and John Deere to roll back their problematic DEI policies, but that doesn't mean there aren't some companies out there you'll want to give a miss this holiday shopping season.
This year, we'd like to make you aware of some virulently antisemitic companies and brands that you might want to think twice about frequenting, many of them in the beauty category. Because the beauty industry is so female-heavy, it's become a haven for the most egregious of leftist policies and often panders to mentally ill men who think they are women, while we regular (and biological!) women are left in the dust.
I wrote about this back in 2017 after despairing at the hostility brewing amongst female beauty bloggers in the wake of Donald Trump being elected. And things have only gotten worse since then, as antisemitic, pro-Hamas "activists" have torched their way into the mainstream, particularly in the beauty industry.
Here's who you're going to want to avoid this shopping season:
Huda Beauty
Owner Huda Kattan, an Iraqi-American raised in Oklahoma City, once said, “I don’t want blood money" when referring to Israelis and supporters of Israel who purchased her products. That's not all:
In another post since the Oct. 7 invasion, Kattan wrote that “Israel, who has the fourth largest army in the world, is NOT the victim, but they repeat the same story and gaslight anyone who comes with facts.”
It's clear that she only wants the pro-Hamas crowd as customers. Huda Beauty has found itself right where it should be — in the crosshairs of the Stop Antisemites movement.

LUSH
This one may hurt, as LUSH bath bombs are frequently found on the wish lists of many teens and adults. Here's what happened mere days after the October 7, 2023, massacre of Israelis at the hands of Hamas terrorists:
A backlash has erupted against cosmetics retailer Lush after one of its shops displayed an anti-Israel sign in its window following the Hamas attack.
The framed sign, which called on passers-by to boycott Israel, appeared in the window of a Dublin store of the British chain.
The cruelty-free makeup market is worth a WHOPPING $5.45B - Lush continues to profit off of this while endorsing their watermelon soap, claiming to support Palestinian children - YET hasn’t even acknowledged the babies kidnapped and massacred on 10/7.

Orebella Perfume
This product comes to us via the odious "supermodel" Bella Hadid. According to one report:
The top model and frequent Vogue cover girl is the daughter of Palestinian-born real estate developer Mohammad Hadid and has emerged as an ardent supporter of Palestine’s independence.
Hadid is also a major fundraiser for relief efforts for the war in Gaza, including significant donations from her personal fortune.
Hadid's antisemitism predates the October 7th attack.
When celebrities like @BellaHadid advocate for throwing Jews into the sea, they are advocating for the elimination of the Jewish State.

Adidas
Adidas flirted with overt antisemitism earlier this year with its ill-advised release of the "1972 Olympics shoe," complete with an ad campaign featuring the one and only Bella Hadid.
JTA — Adidas said it will revise a campaign that features Palestinian-American supermodel and activist Bella Hadid modeling a sneaker recalling the 1972 Munich Olympics — the Games where 11 Israelis died in a terror attack by a Palestinian terrorist group.
You can't make it up. Even better, Adidas apologized to Bella Hadid for pulling the ad campaign after public outcry.
Unilever
If anyone has Ben & Jerry's ice cream, which is owned by Unilever, on their wish list this year, get ready to go Grinch on them. These old, antisemitic hippies have been vocal supporters of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement for many years now, going as far as refusing to sell their ice cream in Israel. This now-tarnished brand doesn't deserve space in your freezer.
