Atlantic Editor: SJWs are Just Like the Greatest Generation; Twitter: Shut Up, Jerk

Jeffrey Goldberg is the editor in chief of The Atlantic, a left-leaning tome that occasionally publishes worthwhile pieces of journalism (as they say, even a broken clock is right twice a day). Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about Goldberg’s Twitter stream of liberal inanities.

The tweet he posted last night was eye wateringly stupid. Hey, everyone, alt-left cowards who cover their faces and punch women (see: Berkeley “anti-fa” fascism) and are nothing more than self-serving punks are JUST LIKE the men who courageously stormed the beaches of Normandy to protect the freedoms that allow Jeffrey Goldberg to tweet stupid things. Duh.

The parallels are striking … if by parallels you mean the DUMBEST comparison ever made. And Twitter was having none of it.

Here’s a history lesson for Jeffrey Goldberg, using pictures (because words are hard) and paraphrasing a little ditty from Sesame Street.

One of these things is not like the other. One of these things doesn’t belong. Can you tell which thing is not like the other?

Today’s “alt-left”, championed by Goldberg (via Getty Images):

And here’s Goldberg’s alt-left brethren from the 1930s; they were called Nazi brownshirts back then, the event was called Kristallnacht:

And here are the anti-Goldbergs, the anti-alt left, staring death in the face because their country asked them to do so:

Can anyone help out the history-challenged Goldberg here?
