This is disappointing and deeply irresponsible, given today’s climate of low information, irrational voters.

And of course, this dangerous bit of propaganda is coming from the state-run media outlet, Fox News.

While appearing on Fox News’ “Outnumbered,” syndicated talk radio host Kevin Jackson approached the topic of two FBI agents, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, and the controversial text messages between the two, that have lit up the opinion pages across the nation, regarding any perceived bias within the FBI against President Trump.

It’s a steady drumbeat that began with Trump, has been pushed by Trump incessantly, and which his loyalists and clingers have been more than happy to run with, even at the expense of the well-being of our nation, as a whole.

Trump has deemed the FBI and all of the U.S. intelligence community as enemies of the people. It began with the probe into activities by a hostile foreign government, Russia, into the 2016 election, and other activities aimed at creating chaos and unrest among our countrymen.

Instead of listening to our intelligence agencies, Trump is, inexplicably, defending a foreign government, tooth-and-nail, while utilizing Fox News and other outlets as the foot soldiers for the defense of the Kremlin, and of course, defense of his man-crush on an ex-KGB agent, President Vladimir Putin.

Fox News, along with near-satire sites, like Breitbart News and Gateway Pundit, have been frothing up the waters, feeding red meat in big, bloody bites to the MAGA crowd, doing the work of 1,000 Russian social media bots.

Kevin Jackson, while sitting on the “Outnumbered” panel cranked it to 11, by suggesting that the “insurance policy” spoken of between Strzok and Page in a text was code for the FBI plotting Trump’s assassination.

“I think they will say, what was his intent, right?” Jackson proposed to the panel. “That is exactly what former FBI Director James Comey said when he was letting Hillary Clinton off the hook. And his intent whether it was an assassination attempt or whether, it was definitely something.”

How did you come to that conclusion?

I mean, he tossed it out there, then followed with “or” and “something,” but assassination should have been the last thing mentioned. In fact, you don’t mention something like that, in that context, unless you have something more substantial to back it up than two lovers grousing in emails about politics.

Yes, they worked for the FBI, but they are NOT the whole of the FBI, nor did those conversations represent the FBI. They were personal conversations and an entire organization that has a long history of dedicated service to keeping our nation safe should not be thrown under the bus to push for the coronation of some would-be despot.

Jackson went on:

“I am saying, there is a spectrum of what does it mean, but one thing we know for sure, he was plotting in an election against a candidate, and there is FBI fingerprints all over this,” he added.

Thankfully, the rest of the panel clarified that no one has suggested an assassination plot was afoot.

“Because I know how things get clipped on social media, I just want to press in on the fact that no one has floated any sort of an idea that it was —” co-host Harris Faulkner, began to say until cut off by Jackson.

Jackson went on to admit that he gets his ideas from social media, so the assassination plot scenario came from other crazed, possibly under-medicated conspiracy theorists online.
