Charlie Rose's Avalanche of Accusers Is Growing

If this season of sexual misconduct allegations has taught us anything, it’s that there are always more than a single accuser for any man being accused.

Always. More.

In other words, if a man has it in him to be a creep, his creepiness is formed and developed through a pattern.

Enter Charlie Rose. His avalanche, apparently, is just beginning.

Rose was accused of highly inappropriate and disturbing behavior by eight women this week.

Wait… make that 11 women. Three more – employees of CBS – have come forward, now that Rose has been ousted from CBS and PBS.

Speaking anonymously:

One woman said Rose “groped her rear” and another woman said he “grabbed her inappropriately and whispered a sexual innuendo in her ear.”

Creep.

“This is new information. Beyond that we have no comment at this time,” CBS News’ communication office said in a statement.

At the time, the women did not go to human resources to file complaints. I imagine Rose’s position and reputation with the network was intimidating.

Their claims do closely align with what has been previously reported.

Rose, who co-hosted “CBS This Morning,” was accused of making unwanted sexual advances ranging from making lewd suggestions during phone calls to walking naked in front of women and groping their breasts or genital areas, according to the Washington Post report.

The initial accusations, which centered around behavior at Rose’s PBS program, “Charlie Rose,” dated from the late 1990s to as recently as 2011.

CBS News is saying today that the man didn’t have a sudden bout of humanity after 2011, and that, in fact, his rotten behavior continued after 2011.

Rose actually denied any wrongdoing, while saying he “acted insensitively,” and that some of the allegations were not accurate.

Dude, if even “some” of the accusations were inaccurate, that still leaves the others that were, and all of them were horrendous, so you don’t look like any less of a jerk.

So does anybody want to start a pool as to who the next high profile individual will be that gets charged with some level of sexual misconduct?
