Donald Trump probably hasn’t been quite as insulting since he first emerged on the scene and basically accused Mexicans of being rapists and murderers.
He has had varying moments of maturity and insanity during the course of his candidacy. Mostly insanity, actually.
What’s more, when he tries to get it right, he doesn’t.
During tonight’s debate, as moderator Chris Wallace broached the subject of immigration, Trump launched into a classic Trumpism.

Maybe not the right way to phrase things, Donnie.
Trump entered the scene by leaving the really rancid taste of racism in the mouths of some who saw his portrayal of immigrants as unfair, at least, and outright hateful, at most.
