Barack Obama Considers Making Gay Bar a Historical Monument

Barack Obama may be seeking to solidify his legacy as the “Rainbow President.”

From the Washington Examiner:

“According to media reports, the president is holding listening sessions with the LGBT community as he considers designating the Stonewall Inn in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village and an adjoining park as the first LGBT rights monument. The bar is the site of a 1969 police raid of the gay bar, which was a common police practice at the time.

In the 1969 raid, the patrons fought the police and the clash touched off riots now considered the flashpoint for the beginning of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights movement.”

In keeping with the tradition of those areas named as national monuments, you may remember the Stonewall Inn for another, more recent event. It’s also that bar where a transgendered “woman” was sodomized in one of those gender neutral bathrooms that Obama is so desperate to force on our children.

On Tuesday, Obama once again proclaimed June as “LGBT Pride month.” He will reportedly host a gay pride reception at the White House on June 9th, and there has apparently been talk of his participation in a gay pride parade later in the month.

Expect to see the White House lit with the rainbow colors at some point during the month. This declaration, as well as the move to make a gay bar a historical monument are just part of Obama’s ongoing deference to the fringes of our society that he’s never afforded to our military, Christians, or any other group that could represent the foundational elements of our country.
