Pandemic Response: Just How Evil Are the Democrats?

With the Chinese plague now affecting 199 countries, people around the world are focusing their ire on the source of the problem – Communist China. They know that, had the ChiComs come clean from the beginning, not destroyed data and lab samples, openly shared information about the virus, and implemented containment procedures just three weeks earlier, an estimated 95% of the spread of the virus around the world could have been contained, as discussed here.

Australians have it figured out, as Rita Panahi, host of the Outsiders news and commentary show, states:

China’s initial cover-up included destroying lab samples that established in December the cause of unexplained viral infections in the Hubei province. How many lives would have been saved if China had listened to experts instead of silencing them? … The Chinese communist regime has through its ineptitude, dishonesty and negligence unleashed a virus that will leave tens of thousands dead and likely cause a global recession. We must not allow this totalitarian regime to re-write history.

The Italians, who have lost over 9,000 of their fellow citizens, have it figured out, too:

Enough is enough. Not only are Italy, as a nation, and Italians as a people affected by the coronavirus pandemic, but we also have to face – the frankly disgusting, given the situation – Chinese ‘propaganda’.

We are angry because of the fact that Chinese doctors and journalists ended up in prison when they tried to alert the rest of the world, we are angry because people are dying like flies, because our hospitals are full and doctors and nurses cannot face the emergency anymore. We are angry because we are in lockdown, and while we try to cope with it, we also have to bear Zhao Lijian and his likes insulting us with the Chinese anthem, and their vile insinuations.

We are angry because colleagues tell me Milan has become like Gwadar, with Chinese flags waving out of the hospitals along with the Italian ones. Something I never thought I would see in my life.

We should not let China benefit from the Wuhan virus. This virus has been unleashed upon the rest of the world by the endemic failures of the Beijing regime: lack of transparency, lack of democracy, aggressive economic strategies, imperialistic designs. We should hold China responsible and ask Beijing for reparations, economic and moral reparations. We should ask for war damage: because what else is this if not a war?

Why, yes, we SHOULD ask Communist China for reparations, shouldn’t we? But that’s not how Democrats roll. They are all about attacking and blaming the Trump Administration for “inadequate response” – or in making common cause with the ChiComs by accusing President Trump of “racism” for implementing the China travel ban and for properly tying the name of the virus to its origin, as is done for all viruses. Check out the latest in Democrat-media complex attacks on President Trump here. A WaPo columnist (I refuse to name the slimeball) claims that “President Trump has made America #1 in the spread of the virus.” These are simply outrageous and despicable attacks.

Maybe the Democrats’ blame game is to deflect from willful lack of preparation for pandemics by various Democrat governors. Take California, whose Democrat governors over that past decade shifted state investments to other (Democrat) priorities after the last Republican governor Arnold Schwarzenegger addressed the problem:

Fourteen years ago, California made a huge investment in public health by creating a standalone state department and seeding it with tens of millions of dollars in special funding for emergency supplies.

In 2009, former Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger put it to work, using the new department to lead the state’s response to a swine flu outbreak that year.

Then, the Great Recession hit, and California’s spending on its public health department plateaued, even as a 10-year economic expansion swelled the state’s budget by nearly $100 billion.

“There was a time there that Arnold Schwarzenegger had a bold vision and a responsible one,” said Jack Lewin, former CEO of the California Medical Association and current chairman of the National Coalition on Health Care. “But I think that got diluted over the course of time. People get complacent, and money goes elsewhere.”

Or maybe it’s about covering up for Andrew Cuomo’s lies:

Or maybe it’s to deflect from another failure of Barack Hussein Obama that has now been exposed. While loudly blaming the Trump administration for a shortage of N95 respirator masks, the Democrat-media complex make no mention of the fact that it was the Obama administration that was responsible for the shortfall, as reported here:

Last week Bloomberg published a story about the mask shortages and how that was making it difficult for hospital workers in various states to take alternative measures to help protect themselves during the coronavirus pandemic, including making masks out of office supplies, and taking masks home to bleach them so they can be reused.

Buried several paragraphs deep in the aforementioned Bloomberg story we find out that “after the H1N1 influenza outbreak in 2009, which triggered a nationwide shortage of masks and caused a 2- to 3-year backlog orders for the N95 variety, the stockpile distributed about three-quarters of its inventory and didn’t build back the supply.”

That’s right, the shortage of N95 masks can be traced back to the H1N1 (swine flu) pandemic of 2009… when Barack Obama was president.

[E]ven though the Obama administration was advised to replenish the national stockpile of the N95 respirator masks, they didn’t.

Here is the Democrats’ real priority during this pandemic, as one of their dark money outfits targets Republican senators for defeat in the November elections:

An activist group backed by a major liberal dark money network announced plans to spend more than $1 million attacking Republican senators over the coronavirus pandemic.

Tax March, a coalition of more than 70 left-wing groups, will undertake a $1.2 million ad campaign against Senators David Perdue (R., Ga.), Susan Collins (R., Maine), Pat Toomey (R., Pa.), and Ron Johnson (R., Wis.). Tax March was initially established to demand President Donald Trump release his tax returns.

The ad campaign joins other high-profile Democratic groups spending millions attacking President Donald Trump’s response to the virus.

The Democrats’ top priority – even above the health and welfare of their own voter base – is to gain total political power in Washington, DC and in state capitols. Never mind about such inconveniences as a global pandemic; that – as well as everything else – can and will be exploited for their political benefit. Never mind putting that dark money to better use in this time of crisis and uncertainty. How many meals would that money buy? Or medical supplies? Or canned goods for the elderly and indigent? That’s not how Democrats and their greedy donors operate.

The Democrats and their lickspittle media, as well as the globalists and their media around the world, have lauded China for their claims of how they have “contained” the virus. According to the ChiComs, they have the virus under control, but isn’t it odd that while they were supposedly quarantining their cities (and virtually the entire Hubei province) that they were still allowing Chinese to leave the country and infect others? What kind of containment strategy is that? The Italians, Spanish, and others have figured out that the virus didn’t just magically show up in their countries, and yet the Democrats have bought into the ChiCom propaganda campaign for crass political purposes.

If the Democrat-media complex are stuck on playing the blame game, they need to focus their attention on the source of the problem (where it could have been stopped early on). Otherwise, they need to get with the program of coming up with solutions to help all Americans and set politics aside. That they won’t do these things is a reflection of just how evil they really are.

The end.
