News Summary from the Week that Was (1 – 7 December)

This is my weekly summary of news that the legacy media and Democrats have obfuscated for partisan political reasons.

1. Let’s start off with an article on a topic that Bill Clinton would like to see forgotten:

Former President Bill Clinton regularly brought his entire family to the New Mexico ranch of deceased child sex predator Jeffrey Epstein, according to a security expert who worked on the estate. Bill, Hillary and even their daughter Chelsea reportedly showed up at Epstein’s cowboy-themed Zorro Ranch many times. Bill was supposedly Epstein’s best celebrity pal, and the former commander-in-chief would often sleep at the guest house on Epstein’s massive estate.

Security expert Jared Kellogg was brought in by long-time estate manager Brice Gordon to set up a sophisticated camera system to better protect the property. He dished the dirt on the Clintons in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail.

2. The progressive “experiment” in running big cities has failed miserably everywhere it has been tried.

[T]he progressive insurgency into big city government has birthed a kind of shadow nation, an interconnected confederacy that largely bypasses the Democratic party and is uninterested in what happens in Washington. These mayors don’t care about the quality of life in their cities. Their vision is national and global, as are their policies: plastic-bag bans and $15 minimum wage proposals float from one city to the next.

The left is always more bothered by distant injustice than messy local concerns. As 46-year-old Seattle city councilwoman Kshama Sawant told The Nation: ‘As socialists, we are also internationalists. To the core, it’s a recognition that capitalism is a global system. That’s why our links are not with Americans who are our bosses, but working people in India or Mexico or Brazil.’

Progressive local leaders busy themselves with PC abstractions as their cities fall apart. What has gotten better for poor blacks under 40, 50, 60 years of Democrat-machine rule in our big cities? If there were ever a time to shake up the left’s union of socialist city-states, it is the 2020 campaign. No one should expect Los Angeles or Chicago to be painted red anytime soon. But the Democratic platform is shaping up to be so repulsive and the effects of its urban tyranny becoming so clear that the Republican party ought to make city reform central to its message next year.

3. Some pushback here on the Left’s perversion of the history curriculum in public schools.

Multiple historians slammed The New York Times Magazine’s “1619 Project,” calling the reframing of history false and disturbing, as others are pushing for it to continue being added into public school curriculum. The “1619 Project” is made up of multiple stories and poems about racism and slavery. It suggests America’s “true founding” was when the first slaves arrived in 1619 and “aims to reframe the country’s history.” Written by journalists and opinion writers, the project has already received criticism from many conservatives.

Read the rest here. We need a LOT more of this! The Left is hell-bent on indoctrination.

4. The poll numbers keep going up for POTUS, but somehow they never get reported properly on the cable news networks.

Sixty percent of small business owners approve of the way Donald Trump is handling his job as president, the highest approval rating number since CNBC and SurveyMonkey began its quarterly Small Business Survey in 2017. Small business owners typically are a conservative-leaning group. Approval of Trump never has been below 51% in the almost three-year history of the survey. Support for Trump rose to 60% from 57% in the third quarter 2019.

5. Yankee ingenuity (and some Trumpian deregulation) in the oil and gas sector!

The U.S. solidified its status as an energy producer by posting the first full month as a net exporter of crude and petroleum products since government records began in 1949. The nation exported 89,000 barrels a day more than it imported in September, according to data from the Energy Information Administration Friday. While the U.S. has previously reported net exports on a weekly basis, today’s figures mark a key milestone that few would have predicted just a decade ago, before the onset of the shale boom.

6. She’s running. The fatally damaged Biden is her stalking horse just as Bernie was in 2016.

It’s hard to believe but there is no doubt that two time presidential loser Hillary Clinton is deliberating whether or not she’ll jump into the 2020 election. I guess former Vice President Joe Biden’s ‘No Malarkey’ bus tour isn’t enough to pull the Democrats over the edge or give them any solid hope that they’ll have a chance next year to beat President Donald Trump.

Clinton told Graham Norton this week that she better “make up her mind quickly” because “it’s moving very fast.” “Are you saying, ‘Forget Me’ now?” asked Norton. “Not yet,” Clinton said. “I’ve been deluged in the last few weeks with thinking about doing that. Right now, I’m not, at all, uh, you know, planning that.”

Read the rest here. The only question at this point is when she will declare her candidacy. I pray she gets indicted before that happens.

7. John Solomon provides predictions of what the Horowitz report on FISA abuse will contain:

Predicted to span more than 500 pages and 100 witness interviews, Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report Monday will provide a comprehensive catalog of what offenses, mistakes and oversights the FBI committed during one of the most politically polarizing investigations in recent history.

The scope of failure and misconduct

I expect the Horowitz report to identify between six and 12 failures, mistakes and acts of misconduct. These will range from the serious offense of altering a government document to failures to provide the courts evidence and information required under the FISA process. The large number of problems, if confirmed, should be a wakeup call to the FBI and those who provide oversight of its activities.

[The other nine categories:]

Exculpatory evidence withheld

Derogatory information about informant Christopher Steele

News leaks as evidence

Verification under the Woods Procedures

Steele dossier heartburn

What investigators learned from Steele

Bias, intent and incompetence

Criminal referrals and disciplinary actions

8. Gotta love normal Americans even if this one is a dyed-in-wool Democrat! This is great.

The Iowa man who challenged Joe Biden during a campaign event on Thursday told The Post he had no regrets about the heated exchange. “I’m positive 90% of the people there didn’t know about his son working on the board in Ukraine. I wanted it brought out there,” said 83-year-old Merle Gorman, referring to Biden’s son Hunter’s job at a Ukrainian gas company.

“If it educated them a little bit, so be it,” Gorman said. “I’m glad it happened.” During a routine campaign stop in New Hampton, Gorman set the former vice president off when he accused him of sending Hunter to work for Burisma Holdings.

“You’re a damn liar, man. That’s not true. And no one has ever said that,” Biden, 77, raged. Gorman said: “The exchange speaks for itself. He didn’t have the guts to explain the situation, and that’s what I wanted.”

“I don’t have any ill feelings toward Joe Biden,” he continued. “But he’s had his day in there and I’m not fond of lifetime politicians.”

Read the rest here. Since the legacy media don’t ask the likes of Biden the tough questions, it falls on the rest of us Americans to do so – at every opportunity!

9. There’s more to this than meets the eye.

Former Secretary of State and U.S. Senator John Kerry endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden for president Thursday, putting to bed speculation that he may launch his own bid for the White House. “I believe Joe Biden is the President our country desperately needs right now, not because I’ve known Joe so long, but because I know Joe so well,” Kerry, who lost to President George W. Bush in the 2004 presidential election, said in a statement put out by the Biden campaign. “I’ve never before seen the world more in need of someone who on day one can begin the incredibly hard work of putting back together the world Donald Trump has smashed apart.”

10. More great economic news that the legacy media are ignoring.

CNBC’s Jim Cramer said Friday no matter your view on President Donald Trump there’s no denying we’re living in the best labor market in more than a generation. “You can’t contradict that these are the best numbers of our lives. You can’t,” Cramer, 64, said following the government report showing the U.S. economy created a better-than-expected 266,000 nonfarm jobs in November, with the unemployment rate dipping to 3.5%, matching a 50-year low. Economists had expected the jobless rate to hold steady at 3.6% last month.

Read the rest here. And yet, the Democrats are rushing toward impeaching this president under false pretenses without any direct evidence of impeachable crimes!

11. We’ll end this week on an humorous note. This is NOT what the Democrats expected!

More people have Googled “Peloton” than “impeachment” this week as another round of House impeachment hearings began, according to Google Trends search numbers. House Democrats held their first House Judiciary Committee impeachment hearing on Wednesday, where they heard from professors about the legal framework of impeachment.

The fitness brand Peloton went viral this week after a commercial it released was mocked for showing a man buying his significant other a fitness bike for Christmas. The company responded to criticism of the ad by saying they were “disappointed” with how it was being interpreted.

Read the rest here. And the Democrats are losing their marbles as a result, but their rage and hatred for President Trump will make them double-down and press on to their partisan impeachment vote.

Here are this week’s “honorable mention” articles:

The good news for the President – and America – just keeps on coming. The Democrats have exposed their partisan impeachment witch hunt in the latest in their series of carefully orchestrated House committee hearings, and it did NOT go well for them!

The DoJ OIG report on 2016 FISA abuse is due out on Monday, and not coincidentally, the Democrats scheduled another impeachment hearing concurrently to deflect from the bad news likely for them in that report. The jobs numbers are great, and the confirmation of conservative federal judges rolls onward. Will another conservative US Supreme Court judge be confirmed in the near future? It’s a possibility. And Hunter Biden is supposed to disclose his finances in a child support lawsuit. Will that finally give us a window into his sweet deal with Burisma?

Watching the Democrats lie and flail this week was amusing. Thankfully, more and more Americans are figuring them out; the Democrats are making that easy to do. More of that to come!

The end.
