It Looks Like the Big Tech Conspiracy Just Killed Parler

Last evening I posted on how Apple, Google, and Amazon had allied to destroy the upstart social media company Parler. Parler’s competitive advantage was that it was a place where the nasty, vicious little multi-sexual SJWs who control the ability to use Twitter didn’t have power. In the space of just a few hours, Google and Apple removed the Parler app from their app stores, and Amazon announced it was booting Parler off its hosting service (see Apple, Google and Amazon Team Up to Shut Down Parler Proving the ‘Build Your Own Platform’ People Were the Clowns We’ve Always Known They Were).

That sequence of events dealt a major blow to Parler. Not only was Parler basically off-limits to about 95% of the world’s phones, but it no longer had the necessary infrastructure to operate. Never fear, we were told by the “build your own internet” crowd. Parler can sue, and there are plenty of hosting services out there, so just relax because “muh private company.”

Now it seems that Parler may be finished. Just a short while ago, Parler CEO John Matze was on Fox News to talk about the situation. During that conversation, he revealed that not only will no other hosting service accept them, but their law firm has dropped them.

At 11:59 tonight, Parler will go dark unless something like a miracle happens.

If you listen to the interview, Matze says that once hosting services found out that Apple and Google were targeting Parler, they immediately stopped any negotiations.

Tyranny by a bunch of tech companies is no less oppressive just because someone is making a profit while trampling you underfoot. At least with government bullying, you have Constitutional rights that can be enforced, and you don’t have to worry about a bunch of tech apologists lecturing you on the free markets and how easy it is to just build your own platform and generate your own electricity.

We are well on our way to a Chinese-like social credit system, except here, the arbiters of your fate will not be faceless bureaucrats. Here the people who strip you of the ability to communicate with friends, make a living, and even travel will be the vicious and vindictive employees of Google, Facebook, Twitter, and the major financial services companies.
