Right now, 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse is in a juvenile facility in Illinois awaiting an extradition hearing that will, inevitably, send him to Wisconsin to stand trial on multiple felony charges including two charges of premeditated murder.

Last week, Rittenhouse, stayed after his workday as lifeguard at a Kenosha swimming pool (I say this to highlight the vacuity of the “he was from out of state and looking for trouble” nonsense) to help remove graffiti from a high school, graffiti put there by the Antifa thugs who are the shock troops of the Black Lives Matter movement. Let me say here, I’m done distinguishing between the official Marxist, anti-capitalist, anti-family group that goes under that banner and people who merely show up when they riot. At some point, a friend loaned him a weapon and they joined a group that had the purpose of protecting property from arson, looting, and vandalism.

During the course of the evening, Rittenhouse became separated from his group and was pursued by feral mob that seemed intent, at least, on battering him, if not actually killing him. When the dust settled, two of the thugs were dead. A third will be celibate until he learns to use his left hand. As it turned out, all three of the people (and I use the term advisedly) Rittenhouse shot were convicted felons. One was a child molester. Two, including the pedo, had been convicted of domestic battery. The wound guy, who had pulled a pistol on Rittenhouse, was, as a felon, illegally possessing that weapon. All of it has been caught on video. The sequence of events is so clear that a New York Times article on the shooting is clear about the degree to which Rittenhouse tried to avoid any confrontation.

The Antifa fluffers in the media have tried to make a huge issue over Kyle Rittenhouse. Early on, they labeled him a “white supremacist.” In a press conference yesterday, some profoundly stupid or grossly dishonest twit labeled him a “vigilante” and pressed Trump to condemn him (video is cued up to the question):

We’re looking at all of that. That was and interesting situation. You saw the same tape as I saw. He was trying to get away from them, I guess, it looks like. And he fell and then they very violently attacked him. And it’s something we’re looking at right now and it’s under investigation. but I guess he was in very big trouble. He probably would have been killed.

All of this is true and what is more to the point, if President Trump had “condemned” Rittenhouse for any of his actions he would have been rightfully accused of hurting Rittenhouse’s ability to get a fair trial. If you doubt this, look and the case of the traitor who deserted to the Taliban.

How does NPR cover it:

There are two major points here.

First, just because you don’t like the evidence doesn’t mean there is no evidence, it just means that you don’t like it. This is very much the case in the Trayvon Martin affair where today, even after the case was thoroughly adjudicated and we know that Martin was sitting on a man’s chest punching him in the face when he was killed, people still throw around bullsh** “stand your ground” invective and claim that Martin was ambushed on his way to a convenience store. There is more than ample evidence available to show, that even under the worst interpretation of the facts, that these three thugs were in desperate need of killing.

Second, no responsible news organization should let itself become Mediaite or The Daily Beast. The story description on Twitter is a falsehood, and it was undoubtedly known to be a lie by the person who wrote it and xir’s editor. It was written not to inform but to try to influence the truly stupid about the facts of the case.

Every few years we hear the debate over funding NPR. We hear how they only get a tiny, tiny smidgen of their budget from federal money. Actions like this demonstrate clearly why NPR should not get a dime of federal funding. It is a dishonest operation that acts as part of the propaganda arm of the Democrat party, if the Democrats want to fund it, let them do so. There is no reason for the rest of us to pitch in and pay the bill for this crap.
