Antifa Surround and Attempt to Break Into Tucker Carlson's House

Last night, as FoxNews personality Tucker Carlson was in the studio preparing for his 8 p.m. show, he received panicked text messages from his wife. Protesters were outside the house and trying to break through the front door. According to reports, Tucker’s wife and four children took refuge in a pantry, locked the door and called 911.

According to now-deleted social media posts shared by Smash Racism D.C., a local anti-fascist organization whose members have been tied to other demonstrations against prominent Republican figures, activists showed up outside Carlson’s home Wednesday and they had a message for him.

“Tucker Carlson, we are outside your home,” one person could be heard saying in the since-deleted video. The person, using a bullhorn, accused Carlson of “promoting hate” and “an ideology that has led to thousands of people dying.”

“We want you to know, we know where you sleep at night,” the person concluded, before leading the group to chant, “Tucker Carlson, we will fight! We know where you sleep at night!”

Roughly 20 people had gathered outside Carlson’s residence, said Lt. Jon Pongratz of the D.C. police. Authorities received a call at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and responded “within a few minutes,” Pongratz told The Post.

The Twitter and Facebook accounts used to coordinate this assault and others are called “Smash Racism DC” and show that the claims Twitter and Facebook make about “community standards,” etc., are simply bullsh** window dressing to suppress conservative voices. There is no way a rightwing account that existed in order to dox leftwing celebrities and organize mob violence would have survived. But it took a near-home invasion of Carlson’s house to get Twitter to act. More evidence that these companies must start being held legally liable, as they clearly allied with one side in this drift to ritualized political violence.

Update: Twitter suspended the account of the Antifa-associated group, Smash Racism DC, sometime after midnight.

This mob violence seems to have become part of American politics since the election of President Trump, and, for the time being, it is running largely in one direction. The left is emboldened by the exploits of its street fighters. It has no intention of reining them in. To the contrary, it is less likely now than two years ago to even verbally disapprove. The overwhelming reaction from the left, including the media, to this is either “meh” or “he had it coming.”

Note that he Washington Post’s coverage has a distinctive “f*** him” air about it. If past is prologue, this only ends in one of two ways. Either the right organizes its own mobs and goes after the antifa and its enablers…or one of these outings ends with a half-dozen or so of these noxious antifa goons stacked up on someone’s porch bleeding out.
