Those "Serious Allegations" Against Brett Kavanaugh Are Actually Misdemeanors

The unending drumbeat from the left and the p***y-hat wearers on the right is that the FBI should open a new investigation into Christine Ford’s claims. This is a dumb idea for all manner of reasons. The most obvious ones are that all of Ford’s witnesses say it didn’t happen. Ford says she told no one about it contemporaneously. And Ford doesn’t know when or where it happened. All of this makes further investigation unlikely to produce any answer that would satisfy the demand for investigation (Rachel Miller told the GOP that she couldn’t even get a search warrant based on Ford’s information) other than Ford was screwed by the patriarchy…again.

One of the driving forces behind the demand is that under Maryland law there is no statute of limitations on sexual battery or attempted rape and this would, if Ford is to be believed, open Kavanaugh and his friend, Mark Judge, to arrest.

But now the Montgomery County Police Department and State’s Attorney has weighed in.

Not only has no one filed a police report…and you have to wonder why Ford hasn’t done that…in 1982 the crime would have been misdemeanors with a one-year statute of limitations.

I can’t see Montgomery County investigating a non-crime. I can’t see the FBI allowing itself to get dragged into making a value judgment on a 37-year-old allegation.
